"You can't be serious."
"You can't be serious."
Drew shrugged and swallowed, "If you think of a way to fake it that would work I'm all ears but for now this is plan A."
She swore loudly and stormed off to her room.
He watched her go, taking another mouthful of Frosties. He thought over it, was he actually going to kill someone. Sure he had seen people do it in movies, and he's heard stories but that's not the same. He pondered it, there would be a lot more death once they were in the mafia and he would have to actually kill someone sooner or later. No faking it if someones watching over your shoulder. He sighed, finished his cereal and cleaned up before going to his own room.
She sat down heavily on her bed, and put her head in her hands.
Why…come on…
Why did this have to be the test?
He flopped down on his bed, before sitting back up and taking the book from his bedside unit and flipping to the page with the bookmark in. He began to read.
(Well, either to planning the murder or committing the murder)
(Hmmm…………………..
They might be in the car, driving to this lady)
(Yep, that works, do you wanna go?)
(Yup :)
They sat in the car in silence, driving to see Susan Underdown. Juliette was staring out the window, a scowl on her face.
Drew calmly sat behind the wheel, the only thing running through his head was the plan. After a few more turns he pulled up outside Susan's house, "Ready?"
She glanced at him, then silently exited the car.
"Okay," He got out the car, opening the back door to get his bag out before closing and locking it.
She went up to the house and knocked on the door.
Drew walked up behind her, slinging his bag over his shoulder, "Hope she's in."
"Let's hope for your sake, she's not," Juliette muttered. But to her dread, she heard footsteps approaching the door from the inside.
The door opened to where the latch, attaching it to the frame, would give. A small woman stood there, "Hello?" She said quickly.
"Hi," Drew smiled falsely, "We're here to talk to you about the Lord's loving embrace." He pulled a bible out of his bag, "He can change your life if you'll let him."
Juliette's scowl deepened.
Drew nudged Juliette slightly, watching her from the corner of his eye. Susan nodded, "Not today, thank you." and went to close the door only for Drew to stick his foot in the way, "Ma'am, I beg you reconsider, the lord is all loving and will forgive you of all your sins, there is nothing to be afraid of, no reason to turn your back on the light of God."
Juliette glared at Drew. Preaching, of all things…
Susan, who looked very frazzled now, opened the door with shaky hands, "Come in."
"Thank you very much, could I trouble you for a glass of water?" He asked. She merely nodded before retreating to her kitchen. He turned to Juliette, "Are you trying to get us caught or something?"
"No, I just don't don't think we should be doing this!" she hissed.
"It's our job, what did you think we'd have to do when infiltrating the mafia?" He whispered.
"I dunno, poison-dart people?" she retorted sarcastically.
