She stepped inside as if she were entering a grand ballroom, and beckoned to Drew.
She stepped inside as if she were entering a grand ballroom, and beckoned to Drew.
Drew followed, hands in his pockets.
Ringo closed the door behind him, he walked over to the table with the same three chairs how they left it. He emptied the contents of the bag onto the table: the finger, the knife, the burner phone and the bible. He got Susan Underdown's file, opening it to the page with her fingerprints. He compared them, nodding in satisfaction. Next, he opened the phone and check the picture, he nodded once more. "Good job."
Juliette pretended to be immensely relieved.
"Now then, why do you want to join?" Ringo asked.
"We like the idea of – living on the edge," she explained, gesturing with her hands. "Defying the law."
"Hmm," He hummed, "In this line of business there are a lot of thrills, are you cut out for it? We can't have any weak links, you understand," Ringo said, watching them both.
(Ah, gtg, sleep is important for some reason)
(That's fine, you go sleep. See you tomorrow? :)
(Oops, almost forgot X)
Did you sleep good? :)
(Yeah, sleep was good. Sorry I wasn't on yesterday I was pretty busy.)
(Since I'm back, you wanna start again?)
(Why not?)
(Do you want to start us off?)
"Hmm," He hummed, "In this line of business there are a lot of thrills, are you cut out for it? We can't have any weak links, you understand," Ringo said, watching them both.
Drew nodded, "We're in it 'til the end."
Juliette nodded, too.
Ringo hummed, "Alright, I'll talk to the boss. Come back in a few days." He got up and opened the door for them.
"Thank you for taking the time to speak with us," Juliette said, standing and exiting the room.
Drew followed her, only giving a nod of acknowledgement before he left.
"Where to?" she asked Drew quietly. "We've got a couple days, then who knows what'll happen…"
He checked the clock on the wall: 6:54. "Do you want to check out some local restaurants?"
"Sure, okay." She brushed her hair out of her eyes and walked to their car outside.
"You driving?" He asked as they approached the vehicle.
"I can, if you still don't feel up to it," she offered, watching him closely.
"I don't mind, I could probably stomach a few miles."
"Okay." Juliette walked around the car to the passengers side, and climbed in.
He got into the driver's side and started it up, not forgetting to put his seat belt on before driving. "Have you seen any places you'd like to eat at?"
