"Juliette Grey," she added, sticking out her hand.
"K," the man said simply, and took her hand. "A pleasure to meet you two."
"Juliette Grey," she added, sticking out her hand.
"K," the man said simply, and took her hand. "A pleasure to meet you two."
"Ditto," Drew nodded to him.
"Now, my associate Ringo told me that you two would be here, asking me to join. And here you are." He pulled his feet off of the table, rested his elbow on the table, and positioned his chin in his hand. "Tell me; why do you want to join us?"
"Honestly man, it's just been a childhood dream of mine, and of course I grew up and learned and I want to do what I want to do, not being pushed back by the law."
"I've always been a sort of – bad girl," she offered. "Living a life where no one tells you what to do appeals to me."
He smiled. "People are still going to tell you what to do around here."
"Yeah but murder is fun."
He looked at Drew. "Is it?"
"Have you tried it? It's bloody thrilling!"
"No pun intended, I suppose," he commented, shrugging and leaning back in his chair.
"Mate, I'm not smart enough to come up with puns," He said, leaning against a wall.
"Are you smart enough to be in the mafia?" he asked abruptly.
Drew shrugged, "Yeah."
He turned to Juliette. "You?"
She smiled. "Absolutely."
"Then you're gonna do something for me."
Drew nodded, waiting for him to continue.
He took a deep breath. "You did a fairly poor job with miss Sarah." He slid the file he had been examining towards them. There were pictures of Sarah's body, from all angles. In the background was police tape.
"Okay?" He dragged out, raising an eyebrow.
"Sloppy work won't be tolerated here. Murdering people isn't about how fun it is. So you two need to learn how to get better at this."
Juliette hung her head, feigning shame. "We won't let that happen again."
Drew nodded, "So how do we do it?"
"That's the point; you tell me." He shrugged. "You're the ones who made the mess. Clean it up."
Juliette gaped at him.
"And do you have any information or are we going in blind?" Drew asked.
"'Going in'?" K echoed. "Who said anything about going in?" He leaned forward in his chair, staring intently at Drew. "You want me to let you in here, you're gonna show me how resourceful you are. Find out where you messed up, and fix it from here."
"Alright, we're on it," He looks at Juliette, nodding to the door, asking if she's ready to go.
She nodded, and followed him out. K watched them leave, his brow furrowed.
(Quick question, do you mind swearing?)
They leave the building and get into the car.
(I was wondering the same of you. :)
Hey, if Drew wants to swear, by all means)
