"Likes? I think they love Spot," Daus teased, laughing as he felt Fins nudge himself into his hands to get closer to the fish. He continued to watch them, a small, dorky grin crossing his lips for a few moments.
"Likes? I think they love Spot," Daus teased, laughing as he felt Fins nudge himself into his hands to get closer to the fish. He continued to watch them, a small, dorky grin crossing his lips for a few moments.
"A fish and a shark, huh? What an interesting romance," Erikos said with a small laugh. Fins did a barrel roll in the water, which looked sort of ridiculous considering her nose was still halfway jammed between Daus' hands
"This kind of tickles," Daus answered, laughing as Fins rolled with her snout still stuck in the palms of his hands. He glanced down, hoping that the fish, Spot, hadn't been mauled or bitten by now.
Erikos laughed. "I would think so. Sharks feel like really weirdly soft sandpaper," he said. Fins eventually gave up, retreating a bit from Daus' hands. She hadn't eaten the fish yet, which Erikos was grateful for
Daus opened his hands up a bit more, allowing the fish to get out, though surprisingly, it stayed quite close to them. He smiled, turning towards Fins and patting her nose gently to see what she would do. "So you've lived here your whole life, right?" He asked curiously, wanting to learn more about Erikos/
"Yep," Erikos answered. He watched as Fins did another barrel roll in the water, seemingly enjoying the pat to her nose. "Born and raised. Never been out of the country."
Daus rubbed the flatter area between Fins' nose and 'forehead' area, chuckling when the shark rolled in the water once again. He hummed in thought at Erikos' comment, studying them for a few moments. "I'll have to take you out sometime, so you can see more than Portugal," he started, looking down at Fins for a few moments. "I'm pretty sure my friends Finley and Baz live around…somewhere near here. We could visit them sometime."
Erikos' eyes widened, and a faint flush began to tint his cheeks. "Take me out, huh?" he asked in a teasing way, suddenly feeling nervous. Did Daus mean take him out as in a date?
"Not hit-you-with-a-baseball-bat-and-put-you-into-a-body-bag-take-you-out…if that's what you thought I meant," Daus explained, rubbing the back of his neck a bit nervously as he looked up towards Erikos, before quickly glancing back down towards Fins and Spot.
"I wasn't worried about that, you dweeb," Erikos laughed. He looked over at Fins, who was now doing barrel rolls around Spot. Erikos grinned, thinking that it was kind of dorky and cute
"What were you thinking then?" Daus asked, his tone a bit of a mumble as he continued to watch the shark and fish, not daring to actually look up at Erikos.
"I thought you meant…take-you-out-on-a-date take me out," Erikos admitted quietly. He looked down at the coral, holding onto one of Fins' fins embarassedly
Daus leaned forward a bit to hear what Erikos had said, though as soon as the comment registered, he was almost sure that his cheeks had turned a faint shade of pink. "I mean, uh, that could work too…unless you don't want that, then, in that case, I can just, uh… forget I ever said that?" Daus stammered nervously, quickly burying his face in the palms of his hands at how stupid he must have just sounded. Surely, Erikos had never actually seen him in that way…or had he?
“I, um.” Erikos took a deep breath. He really liked Daus. He was funny, and cute, and it wasn’t like he hadn’t been with a few guys before. Granted they were all one night stands, but this couldn’t be any different, could it? “I…wouldn’t mind that,” he eventually said
"You wouldn't..?" Daus asked as he looked up towards Erikos from the new, multi-colored fish swimming around his legs. He was almost sure that there was some sort of pink tint across his cheeks, though at this point he didn't really care how flustered he looked.
"Nope," Erikos responded, finally looking up at Daus. His cheeks were flushed noticeably against his dark skin, "I mean, um. You're really cool, and funny, and I'm into pretty much every gender, so, um."
"You're pretty cool too," Daus answered, chuckling as a dorky smile crossed his face when he looked towards Erikos. Were they blushing too? He leaned forward faintly, as if he were studying their face for any signs of blushing.
Erikos' eyes widened as Daus came closer. "Um…What are you doing?" he asked, a slight nervous hint to his tone. He was red in the face, despite the cold water surrounding them
"Its just…your face is doing the weird thing I do too," Daus explained, recalling their conversation before as he looked up to meet Erikos' gaze, sure that his flush had deepened against his lighter skin.
It took Erikos a moment to comprehend what Daus was saying, his eyes widening as he stared at the other's flush. "It, uh. It looks like you're right," he said with a small chuckle
"Sorry, I'm being the teenage, godly dork I am. I don't really have much experience in…these situations," Daus explained hesitantly, backing up half a step as he looked down for a few short moments to see that Spot and Fins had rejoined them.
"How about we go over to the beach?" Erikos suggested. He wasn't too sure that underwater was the best place to discuss this sort of thing, especially since they were beginning to run out of air and Erikos had something in mind
"Alright then," Daus nodded after a small pause, raising a brow in question as he began to swim up towards the surface. Erikos seemed to be working some plan in his mind, though he was a bit curious to see what it was.
Erikos began swimming towards the beach, making his way up to the surface. Fins seemed to be upset that he was doing so, and kept nudging his foot with her nose. He gave a small laugh, turning around to Fins. "It's okay, bud. I'll be back before you know it," he assured her
"Yeah, Erikos will be back quickly from probably murdering me," Daus joked, giving Fins and Spot a quick wave as the fish continued to follow after them. Well, hopefully, Erikos wouldn't be murdering him, though he seemed too nice to do that.
