Vien was just pulling what appeared to be homemade pizza out of the oven. "Oh good, B-Baal managed to drag you two from the ocean," he chuckled as he set the pizza to the side. Baal yapped in agreement before hopping up onto the counter next to Vien.
"Smells great, Vien. What is it?" Erikos asked curiously as he sat down at the table.
"Barbecue bacon. Your father g-got the ingredients yesterday so we didn't have to have crab for the millionth time," Vien answered with a small laugh
"Yeah, it smells really good," Daus added, watching Baal as he continued to bound around the house and onto the counters. He moved towards the table, sitting down next to Erikos as he ran a hand through his still damp curls.
Erikos leaned a bit on Daus, just enough so that he could rest his head in the crook of the other's neck. Vien cast a quick spell to cool the pizza down before setting it in the middle of the table. "Dig in," he said, and that was all Erikos needed before reaching over and grabbing a few slices hungrily
A small smile crossed Daus' face as Erikos leaned against him, enjoying the fact that they were so close to each other. How could he go back to the underworld if he had taken a liking in Erikos already? Pushing the thought away for a few moments, he grabbed a slice of pizza and took a bite out of it. "This is really good. Thanks, Vien," Daus added, looking back up towards the taller boy.
Vien smiled a bit at that. "You're welcome," he said before grabbing himself a few slices and wandering off to his room. Erikos was somehow already on his third slice, and Baal had snatched up two for himself
Daus leaned against Erikos now that he finished his second slice, finding himself a bit tired from all the swimming. He didn't usually sleep, though being next to Erikos somehow made him feel comfortable and safer.
Erikos smiled as Daus leaned on him, and he went back to his previous position. He pressed a quick kiss to the side of Daus' jaw before taking another bite of pizza. "I swear, Vien makes the best food," he commented with a small smile
"He's a really talented cook. Maybe he should think about opening something up for it," Daus suggested with a hum, smiling softly at Erikos' kiss as he finished the last bite of his pizza. Vien's food was honestly really good, and eating it had already filled him up for the two days he had been here for.
"That's what I said. But he doesn't wanna do anything that might draw attention to him because of where he's from," Erikos explained with a shrug. He finished his third slice before grabbing another
"He could be anonymous perhaps?" Daus suggested with a small shrug, unsure of what Vien could do in order to open up his own restaurant. He continued to lean against Erikos, letting a small yawn escape him as he rubbed his eyes tiredly.
"Dunno. He's kind of a hermit, really. I think he's scared of people. He only ever goes out to get things for spells or cooking, and even then he always tries to stay out of sight," Erikos said. He finished his pizza before leaning more against Daus
Daus nodded in understanding, pausing for a few moments in thought. "I used to be the same way until I made a few friends. I guess I was kind of scared of what people would think of me," he explained, knowing that it sounded a bit absurd since he was a god and all. Usually, people thought it was below him to be scared of what other's thought.
"Aw, you shouldn't be scared of people. You're too cute to be worried about people," Erikos said before pressing a kiss to Daus' cheek. "But when it comes to Vien, I think it's because of what happened with his family. He was almost murdered when he was fourteen."
"That's terrible," Daus answered, a faint frown crossing his lips as he listened to what Erikos said. He had seen plenty of those cases in the underworld since it was part of his job to sift through memories, but they were always terrible to witness.
"Yeah. His whole family was a bunch of witches, but no one knew until there started being disappearances where he lived. People blamed his family, and they ended up being murdered before Vien escaped with Baal," Erikos explained, his tone growing slightly sad
"I wish I could have done something," Daus murmured, taking Erikos' hand and rubbing the back of it with his thumb. It was honestly terrible that people would do that to one another, but it happened all the time no matter how immoral it was.
"It's okay. He lives with us now, and he's happy. At least I'm pretty sure he is," Erikos assured him. He pressed a quick kiss to Daus' cheek to reassure him
"He looks really happy around you," Daus commented, a small laugh escaping him from Erikos' cheek even though he tried to hold it in. He yawned once again, feeling quite comfortable against Erikos' shoulder.
"You ready for a nap?" Erikos asked gently, reaching around with one arm to give Daus' arm a squeeze. He pressed a few more kisses to the side of Daus' face, smiling as he did so
Daus nodded faintly, chuckling as Erikos pressed a few more kisses against his cheek. He pushed himself off their shoulder, stretching a bit as he tried to stifle yet another yawn.
Erikos got to his feet, yawning as he stretched. "Naptime, love," he hummed before taking Daus' hand and helping him up. He led him into his room before flopping onto his bed
Daus flopped down onto the bed next to Erikos, already snuggling into them as a bright smile crossed their face. He wasn't used to feeling too tired, but hey, if it meant he would sleep for a couple hours, then he would take it.
"You're adorable, you know that?" Erikos said, wrapping his arms around Daus and tugging him tightly to his chest. He snuggled into the crook of Daus' neck, smiling as he did so
"You're even more adorable," Daus answered, his voice a bit muffled as he buried his face into Erikos' chest. He wrapped one arm around their waist, letting his eyes fall closed for a few short moments.
"Nah," Erikos said as he slung a leg over one of Daus'. He let his eyes fall closed, feeling the exhaustion from swimming beginning to creep up on him
