@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book
Winter gently rubbed Hiro's back.
"It's okay Hiro. Sometimes our past shows us things we don't like to remember. But those things help us grow. It's hard, but one day, you'll grow past it."
Winter gently rubbed Hiro's back.
"It's okay Hiro. Sometimes our past shows us things we don't like to remember. But those things help us grow. It's hard, but one day, you'll grow past it."
“Okay..” he whispered solemnly
Elias gently let Hiro go.
"It's alright. Come sit in the cockpit with Us and Frost. There's something about looking into the vastness of hyperspace to make you zone out and forget things."
Hiro nodded, not budging to grab his saber as he left.
He couldn't bare to look or touch the blood-stained hilt
Winter looked at Hiro's saber. She gently picked it up and walked away from Elias and Hiro. She pressed a hidden compartment and out popped a beautiful blue durasteel box. She gently placed Hiro's saber in the box with her saber, Elias's saber, and Frost's saber. She closed the box, and reached behind it and pulled out an old blaster. After she was finished, she pushed the box back into the compartment and shut it. She walked to the cockpit, and before she sat down in her chair, she stood in front of Hiro and held out her hand.
"Here. It's an older model Imperial blaster, an E-11. I put your saber in the box with ours. And whenever you're ready, you can get it. Until then, use the blaster. No one needs to be unarmed in this cruel galaxy of ours."
Hiro nodded, giving her a soft smile. “Thank you mom..” he said softly
Winter widened her eyes.
"Well dang Hiro. that was fast. Elias you should be jealous. He called me mom after like a day."
Hiro tilted his head “why should he be jealous?”
Winter laughed.
"Oh nothing. Just reliving an old memory."
Elias crossed his arms.
"Well it's happened twice now. Win, if this trend continues we might need another kid. I've got to have at least one point on the board."
Winter looked at Elias and rolled her eyes.
"Whatever you say dear. He's jealous Hiro because Frost called me Ama first, and you just called me mom. So far he's zero for two."
“Wow, that's really sad.” he said jokingly
Elias rolled his eyes and laughed.
"That's why we're going to try for another kid later on down the road. I have to win at least once."
Hiro had looked up at the map before watching the ship pull from hyperdrive “woah…” hiro whispered, his eyes wide from amazement
Winter smiled and pointed.
"Yeah coming out of hyperspace is a big whoa moment. If you look right there, at that marble, that's Coruscant. We'll land in about 30 minutes. we have to kind of slowly pull into the gravitation pull of the planet and gather the coordinates of where we are supposed to land. Courtesy of the senate. And stars help us. I do not want to meet the press. but we're going to have to at least interact with them. And we are going to have to go get dressed. Elias, let Hiro use some of the earlier outfits you were given. When you were younger, you not as bulky as you are now. And don't come at me saying, 'oh do you think I'm fat?' No hun I do not. You didn't have as much muscle as you do now. It's been at least ten years worth of change. And the big question is: who is going to get Frost ready?"
Elias jumped up and scrambled over to Hiro. He grabbed the boy and started pushing him by the shoulders.
"Oh you can get Frost hun. I won't take that away from you. I'll just get Hiro ready. It will probably take longer than getting Frost ready."
Winter rolled her eyes.
"Mhm I bet. You get to wrangle Frost and put his clothes on next time."
Hiro laughed softly and followed his new father. “So dressage? What is it?”
Elias walked back to his room and shut the door. He opened his closet and looked at all of the clothes that had been given to him over the years.
"Alright Hiro. What would you be interested in wearing?"
“My mother always wore Mandalorian clothing, so maybe something like that?”
Elias scratched his head.
"I could make some of this stuff work. I own a vast color palette of gray, white, and blue. I would suggest a gray outfit, a darker gray maybe, so that Mandalorians who see you know that you are in mourning. As in mourning the loss of you parents. I could definitely make something work."
Hiro nodded to the grey. Watching the older man pick out an outfit
Elias picked out a very ornate gray outfit. The front was heavily embroidered and it had a set of decorative armor to go with it. the pants were long and form fitting so that they could fit into the tall black boots that came with it.
"Alright. I know this looks like a whole lot, but it is necessary for Coruscant. Put on the outfit and move around in it. The plants are incredibly flexible and breathable because I had them made for me in case I ever had to fight someone or something. Granted this was ten years ago. I still order them that way though. I just have made more adjustments for me. The armor goes on top. Once you have the outfit on, I will get the cape. It attaches magnetically with some Rhodian magnets. They hold everything in place and don't move, however a sharp pull or a violent tug will release it. Once again for safety. Let's see how it looks on you."
Hiro nodded and changed into the outfit and honestly, he looked home in it. He belonged once more.
Elias stood back and looked at Hiro.
"You look good kid. I can definitely see the Mandalorian in you. But you're starting to look like us. Which is never a bad thing. Anyways, I think today is a blue and silver day. Win knows already. Now the real struggle is getting Frost into his clothes. I think he should wear some gray to match you Hiro and some blue to match us. Hopefully Win got all of that or I'm going to have to beat on the wall."
A resounding thud could be heard through the vents. Elias smiled.
"I think she got it. She likes to read my mind sometimes. And she's frustrated. Which I consider a win win. That means less courtesy she has towards nosy senators and nosy people."
Elias pulled out a deep blue shirt that was heavily embroidered with silver thread, and pulled out pants that matched. He sighed as he laid them on a chair. He pulled out the armor that would go over the outfit, and pulled out the most decorated cape that he owned. It was a deep blue but gradually got lighter, until it became white at the ends. It was embroidered with silver thread, that gradually faded into blue, as the cape got lighter. Elias looked at Hiro.
"Alright. Black boots or dark brown boots to make a statement? I'm leaning towards the brown but I don't know."
Hiro nodded “brown.”
Elias nodded in agreement.
"Brown it is."
Winter on the other hand had changed into her clothes, and matched Elias exactly. She was now fighting with Frost.
"Come on son. Please. Put your pants on. We have the shirt on, we just need the pants. You can choose the boots."
Frost shrieked.
"Never!"
Winter rolled her eyes and grabbed Frost by the wrist.
"Son, if you don't put your pants on, I will hold you down with the Force and put them on you myself. I'd rather you put them on yourself."
Frost pouted but obliged. He put the pants on. and put brown boots on. Winter sighed as she put Frost's decorative armor and cape on.
"There. Don't you look handsome. Guess what you get to carry today."
Frost's eyes widened.
"My saber?"
Winter nodded. She went and grabbed the blue durasteel box and opened it, and gently handed Frost his saber. He gently put it in his belt. Winter grabbed hers and put it into her belt. She grabbed Elias and beckoned Frost to follow her. She hesitated, and went back and grabbed Hiro's saber. She muttered to herself.
I have a feeling he might need this today…
She continued on and went and knocked on Elias's door.
"You guys ready yet?"
“Yeah! Come in,” he said softly.
Winter opened the door.
"Well don't you two look nice. Very regal. Very senatorial. Hiro you look like a Mando'a royalty. Very nice."
She gently tossed Elias his saber, and looked towards Hiro, holding his saber.
"Here hun. Here's your saber. Hiro, if you would like to hold onto this, you can. If not, I can hold onto it. I can't shake the feeling that you might need it today."
