Harry laughed when she didn't know the kitchen boy's name.
Harry laughed when she didn't know the kitchen boy's name.
"His name is Mozos," Krystal replied for him. "I asked on the way here."
"Ahh. Well, nice to meet all of you. I'm Harrison, but you can just call me Harry."
"Hi, Harry. So, who's this energetic guy?" Scarlet asked, reaching down to pet the dog.
"Yeah," Krystal smiled as Scarlet pet the dog's head, "and where are you headed? I don't think many people live in those woods other than me."
Oh, this dog. It belongs to an old woman I met in there. I was taking it back to her. It helps to get her food, things like that."
Krystal turned and squinted at him, all of a sudden suspicious. "I know those woods like the back of my hand, I was raised there, and I've never met an old woman in there. Where, exactly, in the woods does she live?"
(hey, would you guys mind if I drew all our characters together? I promise I won't post it on anything and I can try to share it with you guys)
(Ooh! Cool! Please do!)
(that sounds cool @Skylark PS my computers about to die so I will be on and off today)
(OK, great!)
Before Harry could answer, the dog lept up from where Scarlet had been petting it and dashed towards the forest.
"NO!" Harry yelled, and went after the dog. ( YES PLEASE DRAW )
"Ugh, not again," Scarlet groaned.
"Stars above, this day is not going how I expected it to," Krystal muttered before running into the forest after Harry and the dog.
"Keep up if you can!" she shouted over her shoulder to Scarlet.
Harry chased after the dog for a very long time. When he finally got his hands on it, it… it didn't look the same. It was…. transforming. Morphing into something bigger. Something scaly. Harrison backed away and hit a tree. Placing his hand on the hilt of his sword, he began to run away and back towards the small crowd of three from earlier. "RUN!" he called.
Scarlet raced after Krystal, Harry, and the dog, going deep into the forest. When she finally caught up, the dog started to change and grow.
"RUN!" Harry yelled, backing away.
"What is that?" Scarlet shouted as she turned and ran beside Harry. "A changeling?"
"No clue!" he breathed. He heard it roar behind them, and suddenly is was right on their heels. "Merlins Beard." he grumbled when he saw the size. With it's claws, it picked up a tree and threw it at them. Harry pushed Scarlet to the side and acted as a shield over her, as debris fell down onto his back. Quickly, he stood again, helped her to her feet, and they were running.
as Krystal beheld the giant creature before her she groaned, "Damned Shifter."
She swung up into a tree and flicked her wrists, her silver cuffs transforming into long, sharp daggers.
"Alright kiddies, let's dance."
Scarlet muttered under her breath, cursing the strange creature with a string of profanities even the Bandits would have been shocked at to hear coming from her mouth.
"Revertimini ad antiquitatem vestram!" she suddenly blurted.
Where did that come from? she wondered to herself. Her thoughts were quickly cut off as the sounds of the creature died down.
Krystal lept down from the tree and flicked her daggers back into cuffs. She went to where the beast had been and found a grey-skinned girl about Scarlet's age laying on the ground. She looked at Scarlet who had a shocked expression on her face.
Scarlet was the source of the magic that had changed the Shifter. That was the strange energy Krystal had sensed earlier.
"Well that explains things," she said to Scarlet with a chuckle, "You're a magic-wielder."
"What?!?" gasped Scarlet. "But I can't be. The Sapphires would never have let me into their group if they had known I was."
"Revertimini ad antiquitatem vestram!" she suddenly blurted.
(That's "Go back to what you were!" by the way.)
(Latin, nice!)
"Something must have been suppressing your powers," Krystal reasoned, "Have you ever encountered anyone else with magic?"
"Not- not that I know of," Scarlet stuttered. "Like I told you earlier, I've been with the Bandits for a long time. They don't like sorcerers or magicians. At all."
