"They're gone, they're gone," Krystal continued to cry.

"Who is gone Krystal!" Kai asked now panicked and trying hard to get Krystal to snap out of it.

"Everyone, they left me here alone," she sobbed, finally looking up at Kai, "how am i supposed to fulfill the Promise on my own?"

"What did you see Krystal?" Kai asked noticing the serpentine ring on the ground. Ze calmed down zir voice and sat beside Krystal, putting zir arms around her.

Harry knelt down beside Krystal. "Don't touch this ring again." he turned to Kai. "She put it on her finger and something happened." he turned back to Krystal. "You're not alone. Not anymore." He soothed. "What's wrong?" he softly prodded.

"My people," she cried, "they left me. Sol. Mother. Father. All of them. They're dead and gone and they can never return. How am I supposed to fulfill the Promise?" at these last words she pulled back from Kai, grabbed zir shoulders, and looked xir in the eyes, begging for answers.

Harry stood back. He should be here. Whispering a few words to Scarlet, "I should leave. Keep them safe." He left the clearing and went back the way he had come.

"They may have left you, but not purposefully! They are in the stars now Krystal, they are in the heavens with all other stars, there was nothing that you could have done!" Kai then searched her eyes, "What promise did you make Krystal?"

Mozos caught up to Harry and called out to him, "Where are you going?"

"The Promise of my people," she said, her voice cracked on the last word, even as she finally began to calm down, "To guard the world from the Darkness. To bear the Light."

After wiping away her tears, Krystal reached for the dagger she had dropped earlier, studied it for a moment, then poised the tip towards her heart.

Harry turned around when he heard Mozos. "I-" he was cut off when he saw what Krystal was about to do. "KRYSTAL NO!" He shouted, running back towards her.

She began to press the tip of the blade into her tunic, getting closer and closer to piercing her chest.

Kai yanked the dagger out of Krystals hand before throwing it behind zir, grabbing Krystals hand and examining the finger she had put the ring on. Zir theory had been right, that ring was covered in poison that only one species were immune to. Ze took a sniff, it was furentia ora visiones, the visions of madmen. Ze quickly scooped up Krystal and brought her to a table ze told the other girl to clear, once it was cleared Kai lay Krystal down, made some quick mental notes and decided on what to do.

Mozos turned and saw what Harry had seen. This wasn't good. Mozos ran to stop her, but knew he wouldn't get there in time, thankfully the girl who made him think of dragons pulled it away from her..

"I need you all to keep her cool and safe, make sure she doesn't get a fever, and make sure there isn't a moment where no one is keeping an eye on her. "There was a poison called furentia ora visiones on that ring, there is a cure but it requires herbs that aren't found in these woods. I need at least one of you to come with me." With that ze left and ran back to the clearing where ze hand landed and called to Zikiai.

"I'll go." Mozos volunteered and quickly followed her.

Harry looked at Scarlet. "Guess I'm not leaving." he muttered, and sat down beside Krystal, rubbing her back gently.

"Let go of me," Krystal cried, shoving him off with her considerable strength, causing him to fall back.
She jumped off the table and ran back toward the pool while reaching down to grab the other dagger strapped to her leg.

Zikiai soon came and Kai quickly helped Mozos get on before getting into position zirself. With that she asked Zikiai to bring her to the forests in the south where she would have to find 6 ingredients to make a quick poultice. Elder berries, basil, wart weed, violet petals, wolfsbane and aloe vera sap.
(I'm gonna go to bed, Mozos you can take over my character for now)

Mozos sat unsteadily on the back of the dragon. most magical creatures didn't like him, so he hoped it wouldn't decide to buck him off. He looked down, and quickly realized he shouldn't have. He tightened his grip on his handhold and silently prayed to every god he had heard of that he wouldn't fall off.

Back in the clearing:

"Let go of me," Krystal cried, shoving Harry off with her considerable strength, causing him to fall back.
She jumped off the table and ran back toward the pool while reaching down to grab the other dagger strapped to her leg.

(I've got to disappear for a few days…) :(

( noooo! ) Harry grabbed Krystal with surprising strength, and tied her up. "CALM DOWN!" he said, laying her down against a tree, and tying a rope around that as well so she was stuck to it.
