For once, Lysander’s eyes did not change at the name as he held his wife close. ”He hurt you?” he asked softly, already knowing the answer.
For once, Lysander’s eyes did not change at the name as he held his wife close. ”He hurt you?” he asked softly, already knowing the answer.
" he forced himself on me' she said
That did it. Lysander’s eyes turned dark red at the thought and his hands heated again. He had to close his eyes and take a deep breath to regain control. ”I’m sorry, love. I promise you that won't happen. He won't get near enough to touch you.” he told her with a faint growl in his voice.
" he has before' she said
He closed his eyes tighter to keep his control. Despite how furious he was with that disgusting bastard, the last thing he wanted to do was hurt Betty. ”I won't let him. If I even see him, I’ll kill him.”
" I'm scared Ly" she said
He sighed and kissed her temple. ”It’ll be alright. I’ll protect you.” he promised, much calmer now. ”Remember, he can't get inside this cabin.”
"He can burn it down" she said
Lysander frowned a little. ”I’ll throw the flames back at him before they touch the house.” he almost smirked, trying to cheer her up a little.
She closed her eyes wincing at the pain in her hand
He carefully looked at her hand and stood up, still holding her. ”Let’s clean up that cut, then I can bandage it.” he offered.
She nodded Gently
He gave her a small smile and kissed her forehead as he carried her to the bathroom.
She winced her hand throbbing
”Here. Rinse off the blood.” he told her as he set her down and turned on the water for her. ”I’ll get the first aid.”
She put her hand under the faucet and winced at the contact
The cool water washed away the blood and a lot of the slivers of glass that had stuck to Betty's hands. But as Lysander pulled out the kit, he knew he would have to check for any remaining small pieces.
She got her hand blood free seeing cuts all over it
He set down the medical kit and opened it. ”Would you like to sit down?” he asked as he sorted out the necessary items.
She shook her head gently
”Alright.” he said gently with a kind smile as he carefully took her wrist and held her hand palm side up to check for any left over pieces of glass.
Tears glossed up her eyes
Fortunately, there weren't very many bits of glass left on her hand and he was quick but gentle as he removed them. Once the slivers were gone, he started gently applying a painkilling disinfectant to the cuts.
Betty whimpered in pain as he applied the cream
Lysander gave her a soft apologetic look as he finished. ”I’m almost done, princess, I just need to wrap it.” he assured her, picking up the gauze.
