Jared nodded. "Okay." He replied simply. He looked over at Victor. "I still…it's hard to believe that I met you yesterday, and then my mom hires you."
Jared nodded. "Okay." He replied simply. He looked over at Victor. "I still…it's hard to believe that I met you yesterday, and then my mom hires you."
"Ah yes. Fate and coincidence have a tendency to mix, don't they?" His laugh was gentle, kind and light. There was no menace, just a constant smile and gentle eyes. Victor, despite his appearance was a very kindhearted man. But that's if you didn't mess with his clients.
Jared shrugged, and nodded. "Yeah. They do." He chuckled softly. Fate can be a bitch, though… He cleared his throat. "So i haven't had breakfast…are you hungry?"
Victor looks up and sighed softly before shaking his head. "I've eaten, but if you want I can make breakfast. I ate at about three in the morning." he hums as he stands. "What would you like?"
Jared shook his head. "No, I didn't mean you needed to cook, I can make food, I was just wondering if you wanted any." He replied, standing as well. Though he wasn't nearly as tall as Victor. "Also, why at three? That's…really early."
He chuckles. "I enjoy cooking… It's a little skill I picked up." he replies as he fixes his hair, giving a relaxed sigh. "As for the three in the morning, I have a very whacked up sleep schedule."
Jared nodded. "Oh. Okay." he chuckled softly. "I can tell that you do. At three this morning, i was…" he thought for a moment. "Asleep. I was asleep until about ten minutes ago." he rubbed his face with a hand, heading into the kitchen and poking through the cupboards to see what food there was.
He smiled a little before he laughed gently. "Yes… I suppose I do. I must admit, my sister is very loud when she watches her favorite movies…. She was crying all night." He laughs quietly as he settles at the counter.
Jared chuckled softly. He grabbed a bowl, and set it on the counter, then grabbed a box of cereal. "Dare I ask what movies she was watching that made her cry?" He asked, pouring out his cereal into the bowl.
"I'm not entirely sure. My sister only seems to break down in front of movies." He replies as he fiddles with his thumb. "She's sweet, just doesn't really know when to call it a night." He replies as a soft laugh leaves his lips.
Jared nodded. "Oh, I see." He looked over at Victor. "You sure you don't want any food?" He asked, a little awkwardly. He really had no idea how he was supposed to behave, and he really wished his mom had given him some warning ahead of time.
"I'm alright, thank you though." He replies with a soft smile. He was glad that the other was at least trying. Some of his clients treated him like trash and it wasn't the best experience.
Jared nodded, putting the milk in his bowl, and then putting everything away. He sat down on a stool, eating. "So…I don't actually have much planned for today." He remarked as he ate.
Victor smiled a little bit before shrugging. "If there is nothing planned, there is nothing planned. There is no such thing as wasted time, when what you did was enjoyable." He replies with a grin.
Jared nodded slowly. "How old are you?" He asked suddenly. "I just realized that I have no idea. You look like you're in your twenties? Maybe?" He shrugged, chuckling softly.
Victor looked up and hummed before smiling. "I'm 23." He states happily, a relaxed sigh leaving his lips. "What about you, Jared?" he asks, genuinely interested in what the other would say.
Jared nodded, and swallowed a bite of food before responding. "22." He replied. He had missed his 21st birthday, because of…well. What had happened that had resulted in his mother thinking he needed a bodyguard. And…maybe he did. He sighed softly.
He nods and smiles faintly. "My sister is 19. She still gets mad that I go to the bar without her. I don't even drink funnily enough. Maybe once or twice have I gone to a bar to drink." Victor leaned back in his chair, inspecting the male in front of him .
Jack chuckled softly. "I see. Well. She probably would have put me in a straightjacket about three months ago, considering I tried to use alcohol as a coping mechanism." his eyes darkened for a moment, then he blinked away the memories. "It didn't work well. Mostly because my mom got…well." he shrugged.
"Drinking is something that you can enjoy, but there's a limit." He mutters softly as he looked down at his hand. He should know that feeling. After his first job, he couldn't handle it. He sighed and smiled at the other.
Jared nodded. "I know." he replied quietly, looking down at his cereal. He cleared his throat softly, and ate more of his breakfast. He hadn't eaten much when he came back, and was still having to force himself to remember to eat sometimes.
He hummed before sighing quietly. He stood and stretched a little before looking down before looking over at Jared. He walks to the kitchen and cleans it up a little bit before sitting back down. "Apologies. I have a tendency to clean."
Jared let out a soft, breathy laugh. "Mm. Don't worry about it. Although that probably means you'll have a heart attack upon seeing my room. If it's an OCD sort of thing, anyway." he replied, a small smile tugging at his lips for a moment.
Victor laughed quietly in reply, it was more of a breathy escape from his nose. He leaned back in his chair. "It's not OCD. I just learned from a young age that I prefer clean spaces." He hums and runs a hand through his hair.
He chuckled softly. "Mm, I see." he replied, looking over at him. "You're still going to hate my room, it's really messy. Then again, you may not see much of it, if anything."
