Jared took a deep breath, feeling a lot better now that he was back home. "Can I get you anything? Water, soda, beer?" He asked, fidgeting a little, then going still, looking at Victor. I wonder if Mom and Dad are asleep yet… He thought suddenly. He pushed the thought away. It didn't matter either way.
"Water would be alright." He says softly, texting his sister his location before tucking the phone back into his pocket. He hums as he looked around before smiling at Jared. "It's a beautiful home…" He mutters quietly. He looked really happy and relaxed.
Jared nodded, and filled a cup of water, holding it out to Victor. "Here. Thank you." He gave a small smile. "My parents…I grew up here." He shrugged slightly. "This has always been home." He looked around the room quietly.
(Gtg to bed now. Good night!)
Victor took the glass of water, nodding thankfully. He looked around and smiled softly, "My sister and I lost our parents when we were younger." He says softly. "I was old enough at that point that I could take care of her."
"Oh. I'm sorry." Jared replied, sitting down on the arm of the couch. "That's… that's terrible." He ran a hand through his hair, the strands of red sticking up all over.
He hummed. "We grew closer as siblings through our parents death… But not did not make it any less painful." he says quietly. Victor chuckles softly. "Well. No point in crying now."
Jared nodded, looking down at his cup for a moment, then back up at Victor. "I see." He replied slowly, not sure what else to say. "So you get along well? You and your sister?" Jared himself was an only child; he had never had any siblings.
Victor chuckles. "Yes. We have our rough patches, granted. But we have each other." He sips his water thoughtfully. He wishes some of his bangs back before glancing SG the other.
Jared nodded. "Oh. That's good." He replied. "I never had any siblings…sometimes I wish I did." He shrugged a little, raking a hand through his hair.
He smiled gently as he sipped at his drink. "Thank you for the water." He mutters he felt his phone ding. He looks at it to his sister saying she was on her way. He smiled before putting his phone away.
Jared nodded. "You're welcome…" He trailed off, thinking. "I…how did you know how to…how to calm me down?" He asked slowly. "When I was…" He trailed off, shaking his head a little.
Victor listens before smiling gently. "I worked with men with PTSD for a little while. Dealt with it myself." He replies quietly. He offers a gentle smile to the other.
Jared nodded a little. "Oh. Sorry." He knew not to pry about what Victor's PTSD was about. He didn't like it when anyone asked about his own. Even when it was his parents. He took a deep breath. "How…" He bit his lip, looking lost. "How do you get better?" He finally asked softly, looking down at his hands. "I…"
Victor gently set down his cup. "Time was the thing that helped. Breathing. Talking to people. Going to things you enjoy." He smiled a bit. "I think the thing that grounded me was the fact that I was still alive. I was still breathing. I'd feel my surroundings and know I was safe." He quietly explains. "It doesn't happen overnight. But it does happen with time."
"Alright." Jared replied. "Thank you. For everything."
(wait…that isn't what I typed…tf? Gimme a minute. That's a reply from a very different rp…)
Victor nods. "Of course." He says quietly. He looked up when he heard someone knock. He stood and walked to the door. He opened it to see his sister standing there. "Hello, Victor!" She says cheerfully. She had deep red hair that reached her waist, bright blue eyes and fair skin. "I'm telling ya, those empty roads were the best." Her russian accent was lighter, but it was still there Victor chuckled. "I see. Well, Jared, have a nice evening." He smiles gently.
Jared smiled slightly. "Alright. You too." He replied. "And…I know I've said this like a billion times, but really. Thank you." He got up from where he had been sitting. "If there's anything I can do to repay you, just let me know."
He chuckles softly and smiles. "It's really no problem. Please, take care of yourself." He says quietly. He looked over at the other. "There's no repayment necessary." he says in a relaxed manner. "Alright Natalia, lets head home, yeah?" He asks. "Have a good evening." he mutters softly.
Jared nodded. "Okay. You have a good evening as well." he followed them to the door. Once they were gone, he closed it, leaning against the wall and letting out a soft sigh. I…don't know what to do. He realized ruefully.
Natalia beamed. "He was sweet." She chuckles as she walks to the car, unlocking it. "Let's go. We need to get your car." He chuckles softly and runs a hand through his hair. "Let's head home. I start work tomorrow." He says quietly. Natalia nods, her eyes furrowing. "Yeah…" He mutters softly.
Jared went to his room, flopping down on his bed with a sigh. He rolled onto his back, staring at the ceiling. He didn't have the energy to change. He sighed, and yanked off his jeans, then snuggled into his blankets tiredly.
(sure. You want to do it, or me?)
