Matrix glares up at him, "All I'd do is just scratch the floor slightly." He stands, almost collapsing but he grabbed Corban around the neck.
Matrix glares up at him, "All I'd do is just scratch the floor slightly." He stands, almost collapsing but he grabbed Corban around the neck.
Corbin tensed slightly when Matrix wrapped his arms around his neck. He had to take a breath and tell himself that he was okay before wrapping an arm around Matrix to support him. “I know that. I don’t mind if you scratch up the cushions either, it’s old and needs to be replaced anways.”
Matrix winces. Both his leg and shoulder where throbbing with pain which spread through his entire body, "Sorry.'
“It’s okay,” Corbin said. He supported a good amount of Matrix’s weight and helped him into the living room, his own leg aching. “Do you need more pain medicine?” He asked as he set Matrix down on the couch.
"No. But Im sure you do." He had noticed Corban's slight limping and shortening of breath.
“I’ll take a bit more later. It’s just sore from not using my crutch for a while,” Corbin explained. “Try and lay down, now.”
Matrix flinches slightly from the command but heads it. He lays across the couch with his head hanging slightly over one of the arms
“Do you want a pillow?” Corbin asked. He stayed standing by the couch, leaning most of his weight on his good leg.
"No. I dont want to risk it." Matrix barks back, probably harsher than he meant but he didnt try and mix his mistake.
Corbin frown at Matrix’s tone. He breathed out and ran a hand over his jaw, feeling the stubble. “Alright, then.”
Matrix curls up closely to the back of the couch in a small ball. He almost looked like an adult child trying to hide from the world
Corbin watched Matrix closely. He wished that there was some way that he could further help the demon. But he felt a pang of sympathy as he stared at him for a moment. “I’ll be in the kitchen,” he said softly before stepping away.
Matrix looks u at the human as he leaves then flops his head back. He closes his eyes and takes his mind away. Down to the mass in his chest.
Corbin stayed in the kitchen, getting a wash rag. He began to wipe down the counters, humming quietly as he did so.
Matrix couldn't sleep but he did try. After a while he gave up and just relaxed. He rolled onto his back stares at ceiling.
Corbin continued to clean off the counter tops. He glance dback towards the living room where Matrix was laying. He gave a sigh and moved to the kitchen table now, wiping that down as well.
"Was it hard to get the blood out? Sorry either way." Matrix mumbled to the ceiling. His horns had started to throb slightly for no reason at all.
“It wasn’t that hard. Just took a lot of scrubbing,” Corbin answered. He scrubbed the table top clean before setting the rag aside.
"Huh…" Matrix didnt move but rolls on his side again, facing the wall.
Corbin watched Matrix for a moment longer before giving a sigh. What else was he supposed to say now? He had already apologized and done his best to help the demon, what else could he do for him? He felt a pang in his chest, a bit of care for Matrix. But what was he thinking? He shouldn’t think that.
Matrix's mind was in high gear. He was trying to figure out why Corban was being so nice. Even after all the shit he had put him through. His molten heart throbs slightly and he clutches it, curling into a tighter ball.
Corbin looked back over at Matrix. Things like that weren’t even possible. A human and a demon. It sounded like some horrible fantasy-romance novel. He huffed softly, limping down the hall. Maybe a shower would clear his mind.
Matrix shuddered. He had just thought about what the underworld would say. His brothers and sister would be cringing slightly right now most likely. But he couldn't help it. He had just realized that he had grown more fond of the human in a way. He didn't quite know.
Corbin shut his bedroom door once he got in there and leaned his crutch against the bed. He walked into the bathroom and picked up his razor, looking at himself in the mirror for a moment.
"Rah!" Matrix growls to himself, sitting up quickly. He almost fell of the couch but caught himself. He crosses his arms and legs, "No! Nope nope nope! No!"
