Corbin put a bit of shaving cream on his face before he began to shave off the stubble that had formed there. He felt a pinch and he hissed, nicking his jaw.
Corbin put a bit of shaving cream on his face before he began to shave off the stubble that had formed there. He felt a pinch and he hissed, nicking his jaw.
Matrix curses, ripping one of the pillow of the couch away and hugging it. He stares at the floor in 'deep' contemplation.
Corbin washed the shaving cream off of his face, and looked at the small foot of blood. He dabbed at it with a tissue before stepping into his bedroom again.
Matrix huffs and snorts. A stream of steam hisses from his nose over the pillow in his arms. He looks up at the front door for no reason and just stared at it.
Corbin decided that his leg hurt too much to be standing up in the shower for a period of time. He changed clothes, just wearing a pair of loose fitting basketball style shorts now.
Matrix snarls, fangs bared into the pillow. He could hear Lucifer's voice in his head now, How is this possible?! You're a son of Satan and yet. You are starting to fall for a mortal human! Then there was Ardat Lili. His sister. She would just rip him to pieces. His only sibling that would maybe support him was his other brother, Zoz(o).
Corbin rested on the edge of the bed, huffing a bit. He wanted to sleep, but his mind was racing. Maybe he should take some off those old sleeping pills.
Matrix closes his eyes. Lucifer and Ardat Lili immediately pop into his head, jeering and snarling with fangs bared. In his minds eye he turns and Zoz(o) was there behind him, giving him a comforting hug, It's going to be ok
Corbin got up, using his crutch to help him down the hallway and into the kitchen. He rummaged through a cabinet, searching for a certain bottle of pills.
Matrix's ears flick up at the noises coming from the other room. He looks around otherwise doesnt move from his perch on the couch.
Corbin took out the pill bottle once he found it and set it on the counter. He then went to the fridge, opening it to get a bottle of water to take the pills with.
"You ok?" Matrix huffs from the living room. He already knew the answer but the polite thing to do in his opinion was to ask.
Corbin looked over to where the living room was. He took a bottle and the pills, carrying that as he stepped over so he could see Matrix. “Yeah, just can’t sleep so I got some medication,” he answered with a nod. In the dim light of the kitchen, small scars could be seen spotted along his bare chest. It couldn’t be seen from this position, but he also had terrible looking burn scars that went up his back as well.
Matrix narrows his eyes as he sees the scars. He shivers slightly at them and holds his shoulder. For some reason his shoulder and leg wounds gave a particularly horrible throb.
"What happened with those?" He blurted then cursed aloud
Corbin seemed confused by Matrix’s words, but looked down at himself and understood. He gave a soft sigh, rubbing at his eyes for a moment. “I.. I guess you deserve to know, now.”
"Eh? What? I do?" Matrix sits back on the couch slightly. He leans his head to the side to see Corban better
“You do,” Corbin said, walking over to another chair aged sitting down. “You know I was a Navy Seal. I didn’t come home because my term was up. I was on a run with a few other guys, and we didn’t notice it, but there was an IED that hadn’t been detected yet. It went off, shrapnel fucked up my leg, and singed the hell out of my back. I was one if the lucky ones, a lot of guys were either killed or lost limbs. Obviously, I have PTSD now, which is why I have Orion.”
Matrix stared eerily at Corban for a few silent moments, "Woah… That… Sucks… Sorry, man. I really dont know what to say…"
Corbin gave a shrug. “I knew it was a possibke when I started training. Nothing can be done about it now, and you don’t need to feel sorry.”
Matrix nods. He looks away and down at the floor. He was having flash backs all the executions, wars and what not he has seen.
Corbin exhaled sharply, shaking off a few thoughts. He stood up, collecting his things. “Goodnight,” he said before walking off down the hall, Orion following after him.
Matrix nods, "Night then…" He stands and limps to the nightstand where the only light in the living room was and flicks it off. He walks back to the sofa but pauses at the picture frame of the metals and the flag
Corbin shut his door once Orion was in the room. He sat on the edge of the bed, wondering if he had made a mistake. Sure, he seemed strong because he was in the Navy, but the injuries made him weaker. He regretted telling Matrix for a moment.
Matrix stared at the gleaming metals for who knew how long. His eyes had started to water when he looked away. To him the scars just made the human so much stronger in his mind (There I go changing pov again…)
