"Please…" Matrix begged. He bent his head backward over the arm of the couch with upside down puppy eyes the best he could with feline eyes.
"Please…" Matrix begged. He bent his head backward over the arm of the couch with upside down puppy eyes the best he could with feline eyes.
Corbin looked over his shoulder at Matrix’s tone, and his jaw clenched at how Matrix was looking at him. It was almost… cute or something along those lines. He shook his head a bit, looking away again.
"Damn it! C'mon just tell me!" Matrix sits up again. He winces and holds his shoulder as it throbs horribly. He had scrapped it against the sofa arm.
“Matrix, quit it,” Corbin snapped, a sharp edge to his tone as he spoke. He was frowning now, keeping his back to Matrix.
"then tell me. What did you want." Matrix sighs, his voice dying out slightly. He did really want to know now
“It’s stupid, it’s not important anymore,” Corbin said in the same tone of voice. “Just drop it.”
Matrix narrows his eyes, "No. Not now. Just tell me. What was it?'
Corbin exhaled sharply, rubbing at his eyes in a tired manner. “It is too early for this, Matrix,” he said in an annoyed tone. He wasn’t going to tell Matrix anything. He would just stifle those feelings and move on with his life.
"Well judging by your demeanor. You're hiding something. Something feeling wise. I just have to figure out what those feelings are." He narrows his eyes and smirks.
“You can’t do that,” Corbin retorted. He could practically hear the smirk in Matrix’s voice.
"Can't I?" Matrix challenges. He really had no idea what he was getting himself into but he really wanted to know what this was all about now.
Corbin turned to look at Matrix now. “You can’t,” he said, though he wasn’t really sure. Matrix seemed to be able to sense his pain when they touched, but could he really sense emotions too?
Matrix smirks, his eerily glowing eyes narrowing, "Maybe I can maybe I can't." Come on just spill.
Corbin shook his head a bit. He stood up, finishing off the last of his coffee. He limped over to the sink to go put the mug into the dishwasher.
"Look. Just tell me and get it over with." Matrix snaps. He was starting to loose his composure. Everyone kept saying 'Curiosity killed the cat.'
“No, Matrix. I’m serious,” Corbin said sternly. He bent over after opening the dish washer, one hand against the counter to steady himself as he put the mug inside.
Matrix gets up and limps to the other side of the dishwasher. He leans his hip on the counter and crosses his arms, "I wont let it go. So might as well."
“No, and you will,” Corbin responded. He closed the dishwasher and straightened, starting the cycle. “Go finish your coffee,” he told Matrix as he began to limp towards the hallway.
(facepalm So close. So when would be a good time for them to 'confess?')
Matrix glares at Corbin's back but doesn't move. He moves over to face the cabinets and sink. He was still leaning on the counter.
(I feel like if Matrix still continued to bother him just a bit more, he’d snap and kiss him or something)
Corbin limped down the hall and into his room. He shut the door so he could get changed out of the clothes that he worn.
(Squeal OK!)
Matrix purses his lips then a light bulb seemed to go off in his head, "Hey Orion! Come here bud!" He pats his legs for the dog while pulling out the pen and messed up pentagram paper from his pocket.
Orion’s ears perked up and he looked over at Matrix from where he was laying. The dog hopped up and padded over to Matrix, sitting in front of him with his tail thumping on the ground. Corbin pulled his shorts down and off before slipping on a tshirt and a pair of jeans.
Matrix scribbles down something on the back of the paper and crouches down, with many curses, and sticks it in Orion's mouth. (The note said Tell meh!) I dont know if you understand but take it to Corbin ok?" He knew he was probably making no sense to the dog. He low key wished he had Furfur's ability to control animals but shrugged it off.
Orion held it in his mouth, tilting his head a bit. He at least understood Corbin’s name and perked up, looking over in the direction of his bedroom. He looked back at Matrix before standing and running off with it. Corbin heard a pawing at his door and opened it, seeing Orion with something in his mouth. He took the now slobbery piece of paper from the dog and glanced at the writing. He threw the paper away with a huff before walking back into the kitchen. “This has got to stop.”
Matrix's ears flick up at the footsteps. He jumps up and backs away slightly at the sound, "Ah shit."
