“Matrix, calm down,” Corbin told the demon. “Just hold still so I can help you,” he continued, brows raised expectantly.
“Matrix, calm down,” Corbin told the demon. “Just hold still so I can help you,” he continued, brows raised expectantly.
Matrix was breathing quickly. In short puffs even. He wasn't scared about the string or anything like that. He was nervous for what Corban would do when he 'helped.'
“Try and calm down,” Corbin said slowly. He reached down, working on Matrix’s hands first. He worked carefully, gently untangling the string from his fingers.
Matrix stayed as still as possible. Maybe a bit too stiff but… What ever. He was slightly fascinated by how well the human untangled the mess.
Corbin continued to work on Matrix’s fingers until he eventually got his hands free. He leaned down a bit more to look at Matrix’s caught horns. A bit of guilt ran through him when he saw how terribly shaved down they were. “Will they ever be back to normal?” He asked.
"They will if I ever go back to hell. But even that takes centuries." Matrix didnt quite know if the human had understood but really… He didnt understand any better. (They're like ram horns so in human years they grow out after about a year)
(Okay)
Corbin nodded his head slowly. “I’m sorry that happened,” he said, brushing Matrix’s hair away from the horns a bit so he was able to get to the threads easier.
Matrix shrugs, "It wasn't you." It was so weird to have a mortal touch his head but he didnt flinch. He wasn't used to anything touching his head because of his horns. (I keep changing PoV. Sorry about that)
(It’s all good)
“I was the one who sent you away. I should have looked into the man’s history,” Corbin said. He got one horn free before working on the other.
Matrix hisses slightly, "You wouldnt have known anyway." He scratches the free stub absentmindedly
“I should have,” Corbin mumbled. As much as Matrix annoyed him at times, he still seemed to almost.. care about the demon. After another couple minutes, he was able to get Matrix’s other horn free.
Matrix rubs the other side of his head then looks down at the destroyed sheets, "Oh… Erm… Meh. They're still usable." He didnt want Corban do anything else for him. It was too early in the day.
Corbin looked down at the sheets. “I can buy new ones later,” he said, sitting up now. He ran a hand through his bedheaded hair, looking down at Matrix.
Matrix was rubbing his stubs, his fingers catching on the rough parts. He huffs. He couldn't say he missed them but he did feel empty without them
“I’m guessing that you probably don’t want to try and go to sleep,” Corbin said, his hands resting on his lap. How was he supposed to help Matrix if he didn’t want to sleep?
"Well next Ill probably tear up the mattress or pillows. Ill just rest on the floor." Matrix slides off the bed and curls up on the wooded floor.
“Matrix, no,” Corbin said quickly. “Come on, don’t do that. Get up off the floor.” He hated to see Matrix like that, and he held out his hand for the demon to take.
Matrix used the helping had and stood, "I've already caused too much damage."
“It’s fine, I can pay for things now with the bit of money that I got,” Corbin said. “Come on, let’s go to the couch, okay?”
Matrix hesitated, "But. But you still don't have that much. I think."
“I have enough to get by on for at least a month. I have a few job interviews coming up, so I might get a real job soon,” Corbin told Matrix.
"That sounds good at least. But. I dont want to take any risks." Matrix sits back down on the foor, wincing as his shin injury throbs horribly.
“Matrix, seriously. Come on,” Corbin pressed. “You are not going to sleep on the floor. That will be terrible for your injuries.”
Matrix purses his lips, "But if I dont I would cause even more damage then I already have."
“It doesn’t matter, Matrix. Get up,” Corbin told him. He didn’t like to argue about things that were so simple. This was just causing him stress.
