Faye rubbed at her arm where the claw marks would be in a self conscious manner. “When we went home last night, my dad was really mad. He hurt Dax, and made things terrible.. So we took the collar off Dax and tried to let him go, but he was caught by the boarder control. We don’t have anywhere else to go, so we thought..” she explained, trailing off towards the end of her sentence.

(CALLA IS SO PRECIOUS)

Ronan laughed softly when he heard Calla. He played for a minute longer before stopping, setting the wooden violin back by his case.

@Lenered

"I don't have to sleep. Sunai's don't need to." Calla reached out to grab the wall, guiding herself back to the bed. "The pillows are orange, right, big brother?"

Faye's story made her furious. The way her father treated them was an outrage.
"I made the offer for a reason. Of course you can stay here. I'll need to get some air mattresses and blankets ready, but yeah," Karina said, beginning to ramble quietly to herself.
Calixto nudged her to snap her out of her thoughts, ironically going into his own. They attempted to free that other Malchai- Dax was it?
It was now Karina's turn to snap the other out of his thoughts.
"And… is there any way that you can remove Cal's collar too…?" she asked quietly. He would have snapped at the nickname if not for the question. She wanted to free him…?

Ronan chuckled and nodded slowly. “Sleep does feel nice, I like to indulge in that little pleasure when I can. And yes, they are orange,” he said, watching Calla.
~~
Faye considered it for a moment before nodding. “I could, yes. My dad is an engineer, I should know the wiring,” she said before remembering the fake one that was still on Dax’s neck. “I need to take that off too,” she commented quickly.

@Lenered

Calla nodded and leaned back on the bed, touching her hair. "They tell me that my hair is black."

@Painted-Iris group

Hearing this, Calixto quickly stood up, sitting on the floor in front of Faye. No way in hell was he passing this up. Freedom at last!
Karina was overjoyed that Cal would get his wish, but she would miss him if he ran to the south sector, the place he used to constantly mention going after he got free.

Faye didn’t even really have to bend down, Calixto was extremely tall, like all other Malchai. She took a small bobby pin from her hair, picking into the control panel until the cover came off. She squinted her eyes and eventually found the small blue wire. She tugged the wire from the collar, and there was a click, the collar unlocking. Carefully, she slid it from Calixto’s neck and set it aside on the floor. “There,” she said with a slight smile.
~~
Ronan walked over to the cot and took a seat on the edge of it, it being a bit to small for his longer legs, so he appeared slightly awkward when trying to sit on it. “It is black,” he said, stroking her hair gently with his fingers.

@Lenered

"What is black like?" Calla asked, leaning into Ronan's side. "I think it's the color of the sky."

(Time for Calixto to die from happiness. Well not die.)
He slowly reached toward his neck to where the collar once was.
It's gone… Gone! And it's not a dream!
Calixto stood up, a perfect image of joy.
Quickly, he opened the door and rushed out after several thank yous to both Faye and Karina. He didn't even care if he would end up fighting Corsai once the sun set. The collar was gone, and nothing else mattered.
She frowned at the disappearance of her friend, but was happy for him.
"So, we have 2 spare bedrooms, the couch, and the basement. One of the spares was Cal's so, I'm going to need a minute to put away his things…"

@Desvelarse pets

(Aw yay but nooo he’s leaving)

Faye had watched as Calixto ran from the house, and she began to wonder if he would have a chance at making it across the border to the South Sector. She noticed the frown on Karina’s face, and made a mental note to talk to her at some point. “Alright. Thank you, really. This means a lot,” she said with a smile. She stood up and tugged Dax down a tad so she could reach the fake collar, taking it off.

@Painted-Iris group

(I have some fluff planned for him so don't worry hehehehehehehehehe)
"It's no problem, really. I don't mind," she said. She wasn't looking forward to putting Cal's things away. They reminded her of him. He had been a jerk, but he was still her friend. Even though he ran, she hoped that he would make it to the place he always longed to go to.
——————————
Calixto ran as fast as his legs would allow, wind whipping his hair and in his face. He had to slow a few times, as to not attract attention to himself. No way in hell was he going back to…
He paused in his thoughts, thinking of Karina. She was so upset. He felt bad for not giving a proper goodbye, but there was no time now. He had to stay focused on making it to the South Sector. The only thing was he didn't know where that single exit was. He could turn around, but that would be a waste. He would at least look first.

@Desvelarse pets

(Okay cool and seeyah)

Faye looked over at Lila and exhaled softly. “Not sure. Maybe we could try and get to the South Sector, but I don’t know how.. I’ve been thinking, though. The Sunai we saw, they had to of come over from the South Sector. They must know a way to get across safely. What if, if we see them again, we ask?”

@ShadeStar

Lila thought bout it for a minute. She eventually sighed and responded, "I don't think going to the South Sector is the best idea, but it is worth a shot. If and only if we run to the Sunai again and don't act towards them hostilely then yes we could ask them."

@Desvelarse pets

Faye gave a quick nod, fidgeting with her sleeves. “I’m sure they aren’t terrible, they probably just didn’t like us messing with them while they reaped,” she wondered aloud.
