(Alrighty thank you!)
Afriel jumped at his sudden loudness, "but aren't you in power there?" She cocked her head. Something screamed at her not to keep digging, but she didn't.
(Aaack. No. Pardon my stupidity once again.)
(Das oki. So you just go to you profile, press ‘Edit Account’ then scroll down some and you’ll see a blank space where you’ll be able to put something!)
(Oof alrighty brb.)
(Yey you did it!)
(I feel so accomplished. xD)
Zackary scowled. “A half-breed can’t be in power and respected. I’m either one or the other.”
"Oh." Afriel felt bad about asking so many questions but just couldn't seem to stop. "You're a half breed?" She asked slightly in disbelief.
“Yes. That’s how I have this stupid human form,” He gestured angrily to his handsome face, “and how I’m not dead.”
"Its not stupid." Afriel hissed under her breath but quickly snapped back to attention. "What do you mean, still alive?"
“Not dead? I’m not dead yet!” Zackary ripped haphazardly into the slab of meat.
Afriel jumped back again. Fear drilling it's self into the pit of her stomach. "Would your king have killed you?" She asked softly.
(Itself)
“No. I’m too important. They just push me around, which is much worse than death.”
(Ack sorry.)
Afriel cocked her head in confusion, "well that's rude. Why not, you know, do something about it?"
“I can’t. They’ll actually kill me and keep me there for the rest of my contract.” Zackary bitterly bit into his food.
"Oh." Afriel sighed once again, "can't you just. I don't know, murder them all in their sleep?" She let a slight grin cross her lips. What she'd said was dark, even for an angel like herself.
Zackary shook his head. “No, unfortunately they’re immortal.”
"I have some holy water back at my camp that might say other wise." Afriles grin melted into a warm smile as she laughed slightly at her small joke.
Zackary gave a slight snort. “Yeah, holy water.” He rolled his eyes and coughed gently on the food, for the snort brought it farther into his mouth than expected.
"I am not giving you cpr if you start choking." Afriel narrowed her eyes at him once again all jokes gone from her tone.
Zackary coughed quietly a couple more times then swallowed. “uGh Yeah, thanks for your goddamn concern, Afriel.”
"You are completely and utterly welcome, Wings." Afriel let a smile slip back to her lips making her look nothing like a General that she was but, instead a harmless angel.
Zackary glared at her and tore off a piece of meat again. "Anyway, leave whenever you want, I'm staying here for a while."
"I don't think I'm going to risk my luck just yet." It may sound stupid but Afriel had grown a bit attached to him. She didn't want to risk going back only to have to fight Wings on the battle field. Not quiet yet at least.
