Zackary swished his long hair out of his face as he took another bite from his dwindling slab of meat. "Good choice. Staying here will lower your risk of getting caught."
Zackary swished his long hair out of his face as he took another bite from his dwindling slab of meat. "Good choice. Staying here will lower your risk of getting caught."
"Mhm." Though Afriel had been sleeping when Wings got back she was already yawning and falling back asleep.
Zackary took another piece of meat and relaxed up against a wall. He looked outside; dusk was falling.
"What's it like?" Afriel yawned again, "being part human still that is." She'd wonder what it was like to be able to feel human emotions. To not have to blindly follow a side.
Zackary shrugged. "Stupid. I hate it." He really did hate it, too.
"Oh." Afriel had wrapped herself in her wings and already her breath slowed indicating that she was already asleep.
Zackary watched the night fall. By the time it was, he'd finished all the food and snuffed out the fire. He curled up back in the spot he was in the previous night, not yet asleep.
(Is it cold again?( I mean it probably is but still.))
(yes)
(Alrighty!)
Afriel shivered slightly and curled in on herself a bit. Even with her wings sounding her the cold was still relentless.
Zackary shivered a little and curled up into his wings again. He hated being cold, so the warmth from his wings came as a relief.
Afriel tossed and turned trying to get comfy and warm. Eventually she woke up and peeked out wondering why he'd put the fire out. But quickly remembered they where in a cave and the smoke would have most likely choked them. "Psst, Wings. You still awake?"
Zackary poked his head out of his wrap. "Yes, I am. What do you want?"
"Did you have to put the fire out?" Afriel was slightly muffled by her wings that she refused to move from her face.
“Yes. It would’ve given away our position and choked us to death if I didn’t.” His answer was short, irritable, before he curled up into his wings again.
Afriel grumbled slightly as she pulled her wings closer to herself. "Well its cold. So when you find my frozen dead body in the morning, It'll be your fault."
(iLOVE IT WHEN MY RESPONSE GETS DELTED GRERRRRRR)
Zackary hummed and looked over at her. “I’m sure you could find some warmth in your wings. Us Demons don’t like being cold, so our wings are extra thick.” He rolled out of his wings and stretched them up the most they could go, granted the low ceiling. The individual black feathers glittered in the moonlight, giving off a beautiful, but eerie sight.
(I feel your pain.)
Afriel peeked out again, "well our wings aren't. So some of us are frezzing to death over here." She rolled into a sitting position yawning slightly.
(Freezing)
“Unless you wanna come over here, I’ll enjoy burying your corpse.” He snuggled back into his wings.
Afriel considered it for a moment before rolling back to her side and facing the wall. "I'd rather freeze to death." She grumbled, her face hot pink.
Zackary curled up into a ball, bissfully warm. “Mmm… so nice…”
"I'm going to hell for this." Afriel got up and shuffled over to Wings. Only sitting close enough to feel some warmth.
Zackary twitched somewhat and poked his head out of his wings. “What are you doing?”
Afriel felt her face turn slightly red again as she spoke, "I'm not willing to die from the cold." Her voice was a bit high pitched as she struggled to keep it even.
Zackary hummed and set his head back down. “Surely. But at the risk of sleeping next to a Demon?”
