@Simon-Says
"Oh, gods, same," Beatriz groaned, shaking her head.
"Oh, gods, same," Beatriz groaned, shaking her head.
Zaera laughed with a smile, "I'm sure you won't do that bad. Besides the French can speak English too you know."
Zia shrugged. "Yeaahhh, but still."
"Well, yes, but the teacher… I forgot her name, I have the memory span of a pencil, said it was polite to use their language and she'll probably, I don't know, fail me, or something, if I don't," Beatriz stressed, delicately picking a pastry off the table.
Zia picked up a cookie. "Yeah same. I can like…greet them, maybe. And that's it." She chuckled softly.
"I don't believe we're going to be graded on this," Zaera reassured both girls, "The worst thing that might happen is that you will get some strange looks. Just do whatever you can."
Jade had just left a conversation with a very boring famous person. She didn't really know where he was from or what exactly made him famous, but he was old and told worse stories than her father. Walking around the room looking for familiar faces, she found Marcus by the doors. She walked up to him, faking a yawn.
"Hello, my dear friend. What are you up to this fine evening?" She smiled at him sarcasticly.
"Okay, first off," he told her, "I'm not your 'dear friend'. Second… well, the same as you, I suppose. I'm here for the ball."
"I see." She looked at him. "And are you enjoying yourself?"
"Define 'enjoying'. It's kind of part of my job to be here. But sure, it's rather entertaining, I guess. By the way, someone was looking for you. A guard, I don't think I have seen him before. Do you know him?" Marcus looked at her, interested.
She shrugged. "How am I supposed to know that? You haven't told me who he is, so obviously I have no idea of whether I know him or not. Who is it?"
"It's me," a dark voice behind her responded in Marcus's place. "And I am pretty sure that you know me." She could hear the smirk before she saw it.
Jade quickly turned around. "Henry?"
(And so the plot twist begins…)
(Dun dun dunnnn)
(My words exactly)
(I guess I will just continue then…)
"Jay!" Henry smiled at her, and Jade could not believe what she saw. It was actually him. "I heard you would be here. So, you're a princess now?" He laughed and held out his arms for a hug.
Jade hugged him and playfully hit him on the arm. "Oh, stop it Henry. You know very well that I'm not a princess."
Henry smirked. "Well, you're as good as one already. The prince must be crazy if he doesn't choose you."
Jade blushed. "Shut up. Besides, the rest of the girls are great. He could as well choose any of them."
"I don't believe you. And besides, how would you know that they are great? I have barely seen you talk to another girl for as long as I have known you." Henry raised an eyebrow.
"You're stupid," Jade decided. "And a liar. I have… friends. Or, well… at least one. I think. I haven't seen her for a while."
Henry laughed again. "You really haven't changed, Jay."
She tilted her head. "And neither have you. What are you even doing here?"
"I work here now. As a guard. Great, huh?"
Jade was a bit confused. "Yeah, sure. That's… great."
(Um um I feel like I should do something um um)
(sammmeee XD)
(Yep XD)
(And I have no idea what's going on…)
(Hey Hannah you're finally back!)
(Oh frick I forgot this existed)
(Lol is no one else gonna do something?)
(No lol)
(I'm too lazy.)
(Kay lol I guess I'll continue then)
(I'm waiting for others.)
(i can if y'all want XD)
Marcus had followed the conversation with interest. "So… wait. You two know each other?"
Jade laughed a bit. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. "We are… we were in the army together," she corrected. "Marcus, this is Henry. Henry, this is Marcus, my… not so dear friend." She blinked at him, referring to their conversation earlier.
Marcus rolled his eyes. "Really, Jade? Now?" But he laughed, and she was glad that he had finally dropped the 'miss'. It was truly annoying.
(I’m so sorry you guys!! :( I was with my friend for a few days since she moved away and now I feel bad for ignoring this :( sry.. I’ll respond again, I was trying to wait for @Relsey to respond to my other one)
