(I am!)
(Lol I'm not sure anyone else is XD do you want to have our characters interact, maybe?)
(Hdsfivwhr sure? I just don't know what to do lmao)
(Lol they're all in a room rn listening to an instructor teach them about the upcoming ball, if I remember correctly)
(I know that, I just don't have enough creativity to come up with something to do XP.)
(XP same tho. Uhm…yeah IDK)
(Eyup. I was just going to wait for someone with more creativity to come along, honestly.)
(ah. But if everyone does that, the RP dies, so…)
(Fvhwbvuwrn I'M SORRY I HAVE NO CREATIVITY OK.)
(it's okay, bc I'm like…the same way rn XD)
(I've got this, a wonderful thing called a time skip exists ready one to three and they're all at the ball poof)
(lol alright!)
Zia tugged nervously at her sleeves.Oh god she couldn't do this. She felt like she was going to throw up. She'd never had to do anything like this before, and it was nerve wrackingly terrifying.
Beatriz had been trying to leave her room for 10 minutes now. It was getting ridiculous, but every time she walked to the door, it felt like her stomach was going to implode, and she turned around. Forget butterflies, there were ravens in her stomach. After several more minutes of pacing, her … what was it? Maid? Her maid, Sylvia, took her gently by the shoulders. "You look beautiful, miss," she told her gently. Beatriz nodded. The deep blue gown she had been squeezed into matched her eyes, which she supposed was nice. Her hair, done in an elegant updo, was kept out of her face, so at least it wouldn't be bothering her all night.Taking a deep breath, she nodded and headed for the door, opening it only to lean against the side of it. This isn't happening.
Blair frowned and pretended to be sick to try and get out of going. Her maid slapped her forehead and physically lifted her. "Blair you need to leave or the prince will fire me." She said. Blair grumbled but fixed her beautiful elegant dark green dress. She entered the ballroom with butterflies in her stomach.
(I’m here! My cousins have crazy amounts of energy and I haven’t had enough time to go through and bump this back up, sorry…)
Talin was still busy getting ready, scrambling around the room to grab his undershirt and coat for his tux. The undershirt was a deep night blue and his actual tuxedo was a deep gray just a shade lighter than black. His hair was still a mess as he buttoned the final buttons and grabbed his comb, neatly brushing his hair up into its usual style. The prince had been busy with his lessons and had completely forgot about the time, almost leaving the room to go to the ball without his shoes. “Pull it together Talin,” He muttered to himself, grabbing a pair of matching gray shoes and pulling them on, “This is absolutely no different than any other ball or party you’ve been to, use your natural charm, dance with the ambassador and help the bonds with France.”
With all the nerves going around, Cassie felt like the only one who was actually pretty confident about tonight. The bright blue ball gown that she had helped make was an eyecatcher, definitely. She checked herself in the mirror one last time. She'd gone with a very muted makeup look so that she wouldn't look insane and a braided updo that she had actually done herself. "Now is the time to seize the day." She smiled before stepping out of her room.
Zaera checked herself in the large full body mirror one final time. She had let her hair hang loose, for once, and had put a small silver pin in the back to keep her bangs out of her face. She was wearing a ruby red dress with long sleeves with the bottom opening up in waterfall like appearance towards the end. Her make up was more natural but had vibrant elements such as her emerald eyeshadow and deep red lips. Zaera smiled to herself and walked out of her room feeling completely normal any nerves she had subdued.
Zia took a deep breath, and left her room. I can do this. She told herself. They had had lessons to prepare for it all week. She could do this. It would be fine. And if she messed up…hopefully no one would be offended. Hopefully. Nope. Nope nope nope I can't do this. She stopped, and took a deep breath. Her dress was a gorgeous shimmering green, the same color as her eyes, with hints of a deeper green at the bottom.
Jade looked at herself. The black dress was without doubt the most beautiful thing she had ever worn. It seemed pretty simple at the first look. A black, off shoulder dress with a slim skirt down to the knees. Below that, the skirt got wider, creating a mermaid cut. But if you took a closer look, there was a slit in it. And behind that… an explosion. The inside of the dress exploded in all shades of red, from carmosine to crimson to orange like a raging fire. It shifted with every step she took. A thin layer of black fabric draped over the skirt made it seem like flowing water. Dark, brooding water.
Jade had stared at herself in the dress for about half an hour now. It was absolutely breathtaking.
To that, she wore a simple par of black heels. A thin, silver necklace laid around her neck. It seemed to follow the contours of her collar bones perfectly. Her brown hair fell in short, soft curls around her face, and she barely had any makeup on. Finally, she put on a pair of silver earrings. They were formed like tiny hexagons, the same as the ones on her necklace. A thin golden ring sat on her finger, the only thing that didn't match the rest od the jewelry. It was a gift from her friend in the military. Her friend who got shot during one of the raids. Her friend who died three days before his 20th birthday.
She looked at the ring, and then at herself again. Forcing a smile, she tried to forget him for just one night. She wanted tonight to be amazing.
“Showtime,” She prince said softly to himself as he sprang to his feet and out the door of his room. His mother would be mad he was late, but he figured just a few minutes wouldn’t hurt. With an elegant opening of the doors to the ballroom, he stepped inside and was announced, making eye contact with his mother across the room as she was busy talking to the ambassador.
Despite seeming like she'd cause the most problems, which she probably would but shhh, Cassie was actually quite personable and friendly. She loved talking to people and had actually been very excited for tonight. She slipped into the ballroom quietly although her attempts to stay hidden while the royal family did their thing were pretty much for naught since her dress was such a vibrant color. She didn't mind the attention though, she was practically glowing. And before she could even see if any of the other girls had arrived, she was surrounded by people and she was captured into conversation.
Beatriz took a deep breath and walked down the stairs into the ballroom, desperately trying not to close her eyes and walk the other way. There were so many people everywhere, and she didn't know them. Suddenly, she couldn't remember a single thing she had learned in any one of her lessons. Shaking her head to clear it, she tried to stay close to the walls and not get noticed.
Zia arrived at the party, and took a deep breath. Her dress was a beautiful, gorgeous green, shimmering in the light. She took a deep breath. She looked absolutely stunning, with jewelry that matched her dress, and heels to make her just a bit taller.
Talin made his way over to his mother and introduced himself to the French ambassador before scanning the room for any of the girls. His face lit up when he saw some of them and he made a note in his mind to dance with every one of them, even if it meant drawing out the ball.
