"First day and you're already falling out a window? Wow." Jasmine shook her head with a laugh. "You don't have to thank me, though you probably should get that ankle checked out."
"First day and you're already falling out a window? Wow." Jasmine shook her head with a laugh. "You don't have to thank me, though you probably should get that ankle checked out."
Bee groaned. "I know. I'm going to be the first one eliminated, just watch. Who's clumsy enough to fall out of a window?" She smacked her head against the wall, barely registering the pain.
Lillian stopped by the kitchens to leave her basket there, only to find two of the selected, she set down her basket and addressed them, "Girls? I believe you should be making your way to your rooms, second floor west wing would you like me to take you there? I must apologize for not mentioning it earlier in the parlor it must have slipped my mind." She smiled warmly at the girls.
(Random side note has anyone else read the second series?)
Bee gasped in horror, covering her mouth with her hand. Not now, please not now. "Oh, I, um. Sorry, really sorry. I just - do you have an infirmary?"
(The one with her daughter?)
(The one with her daughter?)
(Yes)
(Omg yes so good.)
Queen Lillian looked at the girl concerned, "Of coarse we do, do you need something? Don't be afraid to talk to me, I was in your place once remember." Lillian waved away the maid who had begun to walk towards them, "I jumped off the roof my first day just to prove I could and would, my arm grazed the fence on the way down and well," Lillian showed her left arm to the girls it had a long scar going from her elbow down to her wrist, " It wasn't my best Idea."
(Yes I have and omg Henry and Eikko my precious bois)
Bee gasped again. "I - oh my stars. Well, I - you see… I sort of… fell…" she took a breath, "…out of my window. It-was-an-accident-and-I-didn't-mean-to-but-now-my-ankle-hurts-really-badly-and-oh-my-stars-I'm-so-sorry," she said all of this very fast, close to tears. "I'm so stupid. I'm going to get eliminated."
Lillian giggled, "If my son eliminated you for falling out of a window when you were confused and miss directed I would disown him" She waved over a maid then continued, " Believe it or not these things happen more often than you might think, just last week the ambassador from Japan took a spill off of the balcony connected to my study." Lillian turned to the maid she had called over, "Alissa could you bring a wheelchair over, and after words could you escort this fine lady to her room?" She gestured to Jasmine. "Don't feel bad about it alright it was an honest accident, thank you Alissa." The maid had brought the chair, "Now sit your self down my dear, I'll take you to the infirmary myself."
"Oh, no, I - that's not really - I just - you know what, I think I'm actually fine now. Just - " she made the mistake of trying to walk a few steps and nearly blacked out, " - just… I - thank you, Your Majesty. Or is it Your Highness? I can never remember. Sorry, I talk too much."
Lillian guided the girl to the chair, "It's alright it took me years to remember, Queens and Kings are Majesty's, Prince and princess's are Highness's." She took the handles of the chair, "Alissa, don't forget about our other friend over here." She began pushing the chair, "And if anyone could inform Lonn and Talin that dinner will be about 15 minutes later then usual it would be much appreciated."
Jade had somehow managed to make her hair look not too awful for the dinner. She had managed to comb it out and even put it up into some kind of updo. She liked the way it had turned out, even though it was a bit too girly for her usual self. The only thing she really liked about her new outfir was the heels. She loved heels, for some reason, and these were especially nice. A pair of black leather heels from a fancy brand that she had never hear of. She started walking down the stairs from her room. She hoped to run in to the prince before dinner. It seemed like everyone else had somehow managed to already make a first impression to him except her.
"Oh-no-you-don't-have-to-that's-not-really-necessary-" Bee began before realizing who she was talking to, "- I - sorry, I'm really not used to talking to people, and - stars, he's gonna hate me," she said, burying her face in her hands.
Talin just laughed as his mother rushed off, shaking his head and making his way to his room. He sighed and set his shoes by the door as he started to get ready for dinner, changing into a crisp black suit with a royal purple shirt underneath. As he got ready, fixing his hair and such, his mind started to wander to what the girls might look like, the ones he hadn’t met that was. The imagined images disappeared from his mind as there was a knock on the door, though it was only a guard telling him that dinner was going to be delayed. Talin tried to waste the extra time he had in his room, but eventually he just decided to start down to the dining hall, hoping to meet a few of the girls on the way.
Jade sat down in the entry hall. She had just been told that dinner was delayed, and she had honestly no idea on what to do. What did one even do in a palace? She looked around her. The entire palace was huge.
He did his best to walk slowly down the stairs, but after a few flights he gave up, deciding to bounce down the stairs like he normally did. Talin made his way to the bottom quickly, landing on the floor of the entrance hall with a light jump. His eyes didn’t even register the girl sitting there when he landed, starting to hum absentmindedly.
"Nice entry," Jade snorted, not even thinking about who she was talking to. "Very prince-like… your Highness."
Zaera had made her way back to her room and had changed into a nicer fitting dress. She wasn't one for larger ball gowns or other frivolous clothing instead opting for a simple red slim fitting gown with a black chocker on her neck. She was present in the entry hall waiting for the dinner which had been delayed for some stupid reason.
When he heard a voice he froze, clearing his throat casually and feeling his face flush. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there, I’ll act more prince-like next time,” He said, turning to face the girl and noting that it was one he didn’t recognize.
Jade walked over to him. She smiled a bit. "I'm Jade." A quick bow-ish. "We have already met once, actually."
"Oh-no-you-don't-have-to-that's-not-really-necessary-" Bee began before realizing who she was talking to, "- I - sorry, I'm really not used to talking to people, and - stars, he's gonna hate me," she said, burying her face in her hands.
Lillian openly laughed this time, "He will definitely not hate you," Lillian said as she wheeled the girl into the infirmary, " Dr. Lidia, We have a case of fell out a window." A woman in a crisp white coat and black slacks came rushing over, "Your Majesty," The women curtsied then straightened, "Is this one of the lovely selected? What's your name darling, what hurts." Lillian stepped out of the room quietly for a moment and hailed down a maid who was walking by her crisp new uniform gave her away as one of those serving the selected, "I have a girl who needs a dress, and quickly, she'll be unable to walk most likely so her dress should work in a wheel chair, Can you help with that?" Lillian asked quickly, "I have to go get ready my self or I would see to it personally." The maid nodded and rushed off. Lillian found the nearest stair case took them two at a time to reach her room on the third floor.
"I - I'm Beatriz. And I… um, I sort of… fell out of a window? It wasn't very high, only 2 or 3 stories, but, um… I might have broken my ankle and…" Beatriz sighed. "I'm stupid, I'm just really stupid."
