He chuckled and nodded, “I’ll remember that.” He polished off the two brownies and went silent for a moment, looking up at the tree, “Can I ask you a question?” He asked, looking to his mother, “About the selection?”

(Sorry, I haven't been on a lot. Can I still get my character up?)
(Yeah! Of course!)
Lillian Smiled warmly at her son, how he had grown, and what a fine young man he turned out to be. "Ask away Talin." She said putting down a lemon bar. "I'll answer it the best I can."
“How do you know who to choose?” He asked, glancing to his mother, “Picking who is going to leave and then who’s going to rule alongside me for the rest of my life, I don’t know how I’m going to do it.”
Jade had found her motorbike. Her precious was still parked right were she left it, just outside the palace. She could still see Marcus watching her a bit away. She sat down on her bike, leaning her head and arms against the habdlebars. She sighed. She knew that she should be in the palace right now, trying to meet the prince. Don't get her wrong, she really wanted to meet him. She wanted to see if she could actually have a chance in this thing. It was just… she had always had trouble focusing on one task only. Even if that task would decide her entire future. She would try her best, but palace life would be hard to adjust to.
Queen Lillian leaned back on her hands and looked up at the sky, "When I was in the selection I was a bit of an oddity, everyone thought I'd be eliminated immediately, but I stayed, elimination after nerve wrecking elimination I stayed. I did ask your father why he chose to keep me on even though I was clearly being rude and In my mind there was no way I was going to win, he told me quite simply it didn't feel right." Lillian paused, "But then again He did end up choosing me in the end and it turns out he had a crush on me before the selection even started, so why he had his little stunt with Rosalie I don't know!" She looked over at Talin, " At first it should be easy, there's bound to be people you don't get along with, after that go with what in here feels like not what in here feels like." She poked his chest then his forehead, "Your mind is going to be muddled, you'll have rumors going around around you, tabloids rating every girl, people voting on who the best queen would be. Even I'm going to have a bias for one of the girls over the others, In here is going to be all messed up and confused." She poked him in the chest again, "But in here is harder to confuse, go with what in here says and you'll be fine. And for heavens sake if you don't want other peoples advise don't ask for it, it drives me insane when your father does that."
He wrinkled his nose playfully as she poked his chest and forehead, “Alright, I’ll keep that in mind.” Picking another brownie out of the bag, he started eating again, “These first few days are going to be crazy, aren’t they? There are going to be so many girls, and so many names to remember.”
(I feel like I'm interrupting sorry I'm so annoying)
Beatriz looked around slowly. She glanced briefly at the window she had just fallen out of before shaking her head. No way I can go back that way. The window was 2 stories up, and she couldn't exactly climb in her condition. Taking several deep breaths to calm herself, Beatriz began to walk around the wall of the castle. The nearest door couldn't be that far… could it?
Lilian picked her lemon bar back up, "It wont be so bad, the girls will most likely make themselves memorable, if they don't, well I can't help you there." She reached into the basket once more to find that she had eaten all the lemon bars. She sighed and grabbed a cookie instead.
He nodded and finished off the brownie with a sigh, “Well, I better go make sure I look presentable for dinner, the ladies are going to be there, aren’t they? I have quite a few names to learn in these next days.” Talin grabbed his shoes from the ground and stood up, not bothering to put them back on his feet and instead tying them together so he could sling them over his shoulder.
"Noooo, now I don't have an excuse to not do paper work." Lillian stood up and brushed the crumbs from her simple lavender gown, "But I should also go change, I think your father is wearing a deep blue so I think I'll wear the light blue to match. Talin, I swear if you put on to much of that cologne again and I have to smell it all through dinner I'm going to ban you from using it ever again."
His face flushed at he rubbed the back of his neck, “It was one time, and I got the bottle fixed so it shouldn’t do it again.” He slung the shoes over his shoulder and brushed a few crumbs off of his suit as well, “I think I’m going to wear purple, something different than you two, but still similar, what do you think?”
(Sorrry it took me so long.
Name: Melody Mikaelson
Nickname (If any): Mel
Age (17+ if you can): 19
Caste (Anything but Caste 1 since that's royalty): 3
Sexuality: Bi
Appearance (Detailed, Links are welcome): Melody has long, shimmering jet black hair that is so dark it has an almost blue sheen to it. It’s down to her waist and she usually keeps it in a braid. Her skin is so pale that it’s almost white, and her eyes are a dark, cold brown. She is gorgeous, and seems to know it, and will do anything to enhance her beauty. She is about 5’8” and slender, and very curvy. She has a faint tattoo of a red raindrop on her finger, and she wears lots of jewelry.
Personality: Mel is kind of, well, a jerk. She’s arrogant and sarcastic, and cares only for her own gains. She’s sly and manipulative, and a great actress, and can go from a sobbing mess to very happy in the blink of an eye. She does have her moments, though, and can be kind and loving… when she wants to. She’s ruthless, as well, and doesn’t mind killing to get what she wants.
Background (Optional): N/A
Family: Her twin brother and parents
Other: N/A
Name: Sonia Clinton
Nickname (If any): Son
Age (17+ if you can): 18
Caste (Anything but Caste 1 since that's royalty): 8 (she’s a thief)
Sexuality: Bi
Appearance (Detailed, Links are welcome): Sonia is pretty without knowing it. She has shoulder length brown hair that’s very wavy, and her eyes are a bright, startling shade of icy blue. She had pale skin, but is now very tanned because of countless hours in the sun. She’s about 5’6” and slender, and slightly curvy, though she likes to wear baggy clothes to disguise the fact. She has a tattoo of thorns winding up her wrist, and wears a simple silver anklet. Her arms are faintly muscled, and she’s in better shape than almost everyone.
Personality: Sonia is kind of unpredictable. She can be sarcastic, rude and manipulative one moment, and funny and caring the next. It all depends on how much sleep she gets, and how much she likes the person. She has an uncanny talent for knowing who to trust and who not to, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, which has often gotten her into trouble. She’s very loyal, and will rip the limbs off of anyone who hurts someone she loves. She has slight anger issues, and is competitive, which is a problem.
Background (Optional): Sonia used to be in Caste 4, but when her family was brutally murdered when she was 12, she had to steal to survive. She was soon caught, though, but escaped, and had lived in Caste 8 ever since.

(Nice characters!!)
(Thanks…)
Lillian began her journey towards the palace, "Sounds good, I'll have to wear a pastel purple hair accessory then." she took a couple of steps then face palmed, "Talin I did something dumb… I forgot to tell the girls where their rooms are." Lillian began to walk at a very fast pace, she finally found a guard, "Sir's please find the selected and inform them where there rooms are, second floor west wing, tell them to report there immediately to change for dinner, if you see any other guards or maids who aren't doing anything, please tell them to help you out." Lillian then rushed to her own chambers to get ready informing every guard or maid she saw on the way of the urgency if finding all of the selected and sending them to their rooms.
Jade was still out in the backyard when someone called on her. "Miss?"
She was pretty sure that it was Marcus, the guard. "Yeah?" She yelled back, not bothering to raise her head from it's position leaning on the handlebars.
"I have been told to escort you to your room. Come with me, miss." He took a few steps away from the door, towards her.
"Oh, stop it." She got up from her bike and gave it one last longing glance before walking over to him. "You don't have to call me 'miss' all the time. Just call me Jade, would ya?"
He smiled slightly at her. "Okay, mi- Jade. But you really need to go to your room now. I'll show you the way." He opened the door for her and they walked inside the palace.
Bee had finally made it to a door, and began knocking on it frantically. No one was answering. She began to panic. I'm going to miss the dinner. I'm going to get thrown out. Might as well break my other ankle, I'm useless now. Why did I even agree to this in the first place?
Sonia had no idea why she had agreed to this. She had no idea where her room was, and while exploring, had taken a wrong turn, and found herself in the garden. It was beautiful, true, but it seemed too fake, too cheerful. This place was very different from home, she had to agree. Brushing her hair from her face, Sonia glanced around before going back inside to find someone to tell her where to go.
Melody was attempting to flirt with the guards. It wasn't going that well, because he just remained stoic and staring off into space, and after a while, she grew bored of it and wandered off again.
Jasmine, who had ended up deciding on finding the kitchens, looked up from the dessert a young-looking servant girl had offered her with a wink, as there was a knock at one of the servant's doors. Raising an eyebrow curiously, she undid the deadbolt in place, pulling open the door. An act that could have been a bad idea, in the wrong circumstances.
Bee gasped, nearly falling over in her shock. "T-thank you," she managed to stutter. "I, er, didn't exactly mean to be out there, but… a-anyway, sorry, thank you." Bee inwardly cursed herself. Just act like a human, you walking piece of trash!
Jade had left Marcus by the stairs as soon as he had shown her her room. And what a room. It was freaking huge. Jade had immediately walked over to the wardrobe. Not a single pair of pants in sight. She sighed, looking around the room. Then she looked at the closet again. After a while, she had found a dress that she at least didn't hate. It was black with straps. It was actually a pretty simple dress. But the best part of it was that it had pockets.
"It's perfectly fine. What exactly are you doing out here, though?" Jasmine asked, amusement and curiosity flickering across her features as she ushered the girl into the kitchen and shut the door.
Bee fidgeted with her sleeves. "I, er. Well, I - I sort of… fell out of a window?" she answered quietly. "And I - I think my ankle - er, I might have - um, nevermind. Thanks for letting me in," she said quickly.
