"Abstracts," Jude said, gesturing outwards dramatically like he was revealing something, "They aren't really accurate depictions or realistic, but they're meant to hint towards whatever it is they're painting…or feeling." He shrugged, moving down the hallway with Nyx and turning the corner, "It's easier if you just see it,"

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Oh, alright." Nyx replied, smiling quickly. "That sounds interesting. And something that I might actually be able to do. Without, you know, having any talent." he followed Jude, looking at the different paintings.

"Hey," Jude laughed, "It's not about talent." He shook his head, taking Nyx hand briefly to show him a painting to his right, "Look; Franz Kline, 1959. This is art, but it doesn't seem like he was talented– it just looks like a bunch of brushstrokes." Jude sighed, putting his hands on his hips and staring at the painting, "I don't believe in talent. I believe in art."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded. He felt his pulse jump when Jude's hand was in his, and felt oddly disappointed when Jude let go. Or, not disappointed exactly, but…god. He didn't know. He looked. He shrugged slightly. "Yeah, maybe. But still. It seems like it would be harder to do…all that realistic stuff, whereas this would be…I dunno. Easier."

Deleted user

"Yes," Jude agreed, studying the painting, "Realistic things tend to be harder in life, yeah." He chuckled, glancing at Nyx, "But I' got a feelin' that you'd be good at whatever you put your mind to. You're talented like that."

@ElderGod-Icefire

(I think I gtg to bed soon)

Nyx shrugged slightly. "I don't know about that." he replied slowly, looking at the painting. "Maybe things that involve like…math or something. That way my cybernetic part can handle it. But…" he shrugged again.

(okeyyy goodnight :)

Jude looked over his shoulder at Nyx's mention of cybernetics, knowing that he was just being paranoid. "What about dancing?" Jude smiled, almost sadly, "You're pretty good at that. Like, a year worth of ballroom dancing lessons good." He sighed, "But everything involves math if you think about it– but anyways, we'll paint some other day, yeah."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx shrugged again. "I learned to dance from watching you." he replied. "I'm programmed that way. I don't think it would be…fair. To normal people." he gave a soft, careful half smile, eyes flashing away from Jude to look around at the paintings.

Jude sighed, spinning in a slow circle lazily and smiling, "We'll figure it out. I think you'll like painting." He said, feeling like he'd said the same words before.

"Hm, well, we'll make a day of it–" Jude shrugged, "I'll bust out some paint and canvases from storage and…yeah, it'll be good."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded. "Alright." he replied with a quick smile. "That sounds…nice." he looked around the gallery, letting out his breath in a slow sigh. "So…what next?" he asked curiously.

Deleted user

"I dunno, pick a place." Jude smiled, opening up a map of the museum, all the special rooms and exhibits colour-coded, "We don't have to stay, too, If you wanna go somewhere else." He nodded.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx shrugged, looking at the map. "I don't… have a preference whether we stay or go." He replied. He did like the paintings, though. All the colors, the life.

"Whatever you wanna do." Jude smiled at Nyx, "There's a room of sculptures not too far from where we are." He remembered his own sculpture he built a year ago, sitting alone and probably rusted on the roof of his apartment.

Deleted user

"The sculpture and statue gallery? Sure," He smiled, turning in the direction the map told them, and remembering their short discussion on David, disappointed that it wasn't at The Met.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx followed him, eyes flashing around the museum as they walked. He knew this couldn't possibly be all the art in the world, and it staggered him. That the world was so big and beautiful and scary, all at the same time.

Jude glanced at Nyx from the corner of his eye, curious and full of wonder now that he was seeing so much of the world and such beauty from so many different cultures. He wished he could sneak a picture of him, admiring the works as they passed them, and no matter how masterful they were, Jude knew the most beautiful thing in the museum was the blue-eyed boy standing next to him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx kept looking at all the different pictures. After a moment, he stopped, leaning against a pillar and pressing a hand to his forehead. "Can we stop for a minute?" He asked softly. "My head is…too much information."

Deleted user

Jude snapped from his state of lazy adoration to worry, "Y- yeah. Are you okay?" He breathed, holding Nyx's shoulders gently in an attempt to steady him, "Just breathe, okay? Can't have you passin' out on me." Jude laughed weakly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded. "I'll be okay. Just need a minute to… process." He replied slowly. He closed his eyes to try and minimize the amount of sensory input, taking a deep breath.

Deleted user

"Yeah, take all the time you need," Jude said softly, almost a whisper. This part of Nyx worried him– what if he was driving? Or walking in the middle of a street? What if he couldn't recover for whatever reason and wasn't helped?
"Just breathe." he repeated, though this time it was for himself.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx took another deep breath, leaning his head back against the pillar. This was the one drawback to that cybernetic mind. If it received too much information at once, without being prepared, it did what any computer did: it slowed down, it froze up, it stopped responding as it tried to categorize everything.

Jude looked back at Nyx, It'll pass. He didn't know if he was referring to Nyx's current state, or if he was subconsciously waiting for his feeling for him to pass.
