"That's what my mother told her," Eve murmured. She fell silent immediately as Farah stood up and began to walk away from Rosalind, with her back to the woman.
"I know that," Rosalind spoke, stopping Farah in her tracks. She stood and slowly paced over behind Farah. "The rest of the world might believe it." Even from this distance, Eve could see her mother's spine stiffen.
Suddenly, Eve felt faint. She had no idea what was about to happen, but yet she did. It was so vivid, the memory… from her nightmares.
"And if they don't–" Rosalind lifted her hand, lifting Farah into the air "–what the fuck are they gonna do about it?" With a wave of Rosalind's hand, Farah's neck snapped, and she fell limp down on the ground. Dead leaves stuck to her hair as she lay, lifeless, on the cool earth.
"No!" Eve cried, stepping out from their hiding spot to face Rosalind. But surprisingly, the woman seemed unfazed.
"Oh, Eve… I showed you this so you wouldn't have this reaction… But I guess somethings never change…"
" farah!" anya cried, running to the womans body. that was anyas breaking point, fire raced and exploded like a match to gasoline. " you bitch" she spat, her eyes burning red.
Eve was trembling. "Why?" she asked sharply.
Rosalind lifted her chin. "Because, dear girls, there is only room in your life for one mentor."
" your not or mentor!" anya seethed, glaring daggers.
Rosalind laughed. The noise was bitter and sharp. "And Farah is? Or need I remind you… she's dead."
Eve cupped a hand over her mouth to hold in her sobs. My mother…
" she wa the best god damn meantor i ever had!" she yelled and went after rosalind
Rosalind smirked and made for the trees off to the side.
Eve knelt beside her mother and took Farah's cold hand in between her warm ones. "Mom," she whispered. "No…"
anya ran after rosalind. " i will end you!"
Rosalind laughed again. Her voice seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. “I’d like to see you try. She used light magic to conceal herself and slip out of view.
anya ran deeper as she looked for rosalind, till hands caught up with her "!" anya screamed but it was cut short
Eve jerked her head up as Anya screamed and abruptly stopped. "Anya?!"
anya tried to kick at what ever had her until his voice stopped her dead. dad..
Eve was torn. "I'm sorry," she whispered to her mother before standing up and bolting in the direction Anya and Rosalind had gone.
do not folow me! anya said as she felt eve come close runaway!
Eve ducked behind a tree so Anya's father couldn't see her. No, I'm not leaving you. I left my mother and now she's dead.
No, I won't, Eve promised.
(Is her dad gonna do something?)
( ye but i felt like right now hes pinning her for rosalind)
(Ahh, gotcha)
"So…" Rosalind murmured, stepping out from behind a tree and waving away her light magic. "You're going to end me? How is that going to work?"
" yeah it is, now put me down!" she growled
"I don't think so," Rosalind replied. "With Farah Dowling dead, I am now the headmistress of Alfea once more. The second I walk through those gates, Mavrice becomes my second-in-command, and Saul Silva will be fired. You and your little girlfriend will obey me and my rules, got that?"
Eve slipped through the shadows, getting closer, but still staying far enough away that she didn't catch Rosalind's attention.
“ eve is head mistress. “ Anya snarled.
"Oh, please. That girl couldn't be headmistress of a fairy daycare," Rosalind said, waving her hand dismissively.
Eve stiffened and blinked away the tears.
“ eve is strong. Caring. She could run circles around you before you could finish one you old hag!” Anya spat.
Rosalind narrowed her eyes. "Farah Dowling was no match for me. What makes you think her daughter would be any different? I could destroy her if I wanted to."
