Saul cursed at that. “She’s trapped in a prison veil too?”

" yes." she said " what dos it take to open this damn thing!"

"I told you… magic," Saul answered, feeling the pull to the unconscious again.

eve! she called for the other. please!

Eve jolted. Anya?! Did you find my father?

yes! i need your help! she said back and put her hand to the barrier. " were going to get you out."

Saul smiled weakly. "I know you will." His eyes slipped closed, and his body went slack against the wall.

Where are you?

sauls room door, hurry!

I'm on my way. What about Rosalind?

i think mom can handle her, she thought. " saul you need to stay awake!"

Eve was sprinting as far as she could to get to Saul and Anya. I think so too. Is he okay?

hes non responsive she thought and stepped back from the door

Eve panicked. Oh gods, no… She burst into the room, and tears instantly sprung to her eyes. She'd never seen her father so weak and defenseless, and she'd never thought that she ever would. "Dad?" she asked, putting her hand up to the veil, but she was careful not to touch it. "Dad, can you hear me?"

anya waited for a response " he said you can take it down.."

Eve eyed the veil helplessly. "I-I can try. I've never been good with veils. And what if I can't get it?"

" then we'll try again. " she said " he needs help."

Eve nodded, and with her fingers trembling awfully, she raised her hand to the veil. Her eyes glowed, and she touched the magic, beginning the process of dispelling it.

" your doing good eve, you've got this.."

Eve breathed steadily. Slowly, the barrier began to dissolve from the top down as Eve drained its magic.

" eve! its almost gon, you've got this!"

Eve winced in pain, but her father was in reach. She couldn't give up on him now. With a gasp of surprise, pain, and relief from Eve, the veil dispersed.

" saul!" anya cried, racing to his aid

Eve leaned against the wall, exhausted from the effort.

Saul had yet to wake up.

anya shook saul genty " come on!"

He grunted and slowly came to. "Farah, run…" he groaned.
