anya looked over at farah " im stressing you out because you keep using your magic on me, saul done ratted you out on how you exhausted yourself last night. "

Farah inhaled and straightened simultaneously, but she didn't deny it.

"Anya, just because she was exhausted doesn't mean she was stressed, and it especially doesn't mean that you're a pain."

anya sighted shakily. her anxiety getting to her again " it feels like it.."

"Anya, look at me," Farah stated firmly.

anyas teary eyes looked to farah.

"The expenditure of my powers is completely in my control. I wouldn't do more to myself than I knew I could handle. I knew that I needed to help you, and I did."

" yeah but at your expense. and it was all for not.."

"On the contrary," Farah refuted.

" what? im still unable to us my fire and im freezing still.

"I'm getting closer to the secrets Rosalind is keeping," Farah assured her. "I just need a bit more time."

" we dont know how much time we have "

Farah nodded. "I'm nearly there. It's just the last part I'm… struggling to understand."

" what is it?"

"The process is immensely complicated. Many spells, all done in perfect chronology. But the last spell is the most complicated."

"so.. you cant help.."

"I can," Farah promised. "The magic is immensely powerful. I just need time…"

"Anya, it'll be alright. We can fix what Rosalind did to you."

" i hope so.." she said

"We can," Eve repeated. "I promise."

anya snuggled up to eve.

Eve sighed and held Anya against her. "You'll be okay," she promised.

" thank you, both of you.."

"Of course," Farah murmured. "I'll do my best to learn the last spell as quickly as possible."
