" no.." she said, trying to start her own fire. it smoked and she started coughing
" no.." she said, trying to start her own fire. it smoked and she started coughing
Saul scooped her into his arms to carry her quickly to Farah's room. "See, that's not good," he chided. "Have you at least told Eve?"
" yeah, eve knows.. she was goin to make me go anyway. " anya shivered harshly when removed from the blankets
"Farah will fix this, I promise," he assured her.
" i dont wanna bother her, and at least get the heating blanket.."
"Anya, this is serious," Saul stated. "A fire fairy who can't make fire. Doesn't that seem wrong to you?"
"i know its wrong saul but its cold and i have to stay warm. hell if anything my pilot light could just be out" she said in reference to have little to no energy for magic
"I'm not chancing it." They reached Farah's room and opened the door.
"Not even a day." Saul heard her murmur briefly before rising painfully to her feet and heading over to them. "Anya?"
" hey ma." she said with an embarrassed look " im back.."
Farah motioned for Saul to lay Anya on Farah's bed, and he did just that. "Anya, my darling, what happened?" Farah asked worriedly. "You're trembling."
" im cold and cant make my own heat. i told saul to grab my heating blanket.."
Farah sighed softly. "Get her blanket."
Saul was out the door like a shot, leaving them alone.
Farah gently and comfortingly stroked Anya's hair. "Why didn't you come to me sooner?"
" because i thought it would come back.. an i didnt want to bother you.."
"Anya…" Farah sighed. "You are not a bother. I'd rather you come see me when I can still fix something rather than letting it get out of control."
anya shivered again, huddling against farah.
Farah wrapped her arms around Anya gently. Her eyes glowed, and she began to use her magic to transfer heat into Anya.
anya fet the heat was over her " dont exert yourself.."
"You're not currently in a position to tell me what I can and can't do."
" please dont exert yourself."
Farah's laugh was airy. "You think you're clever?"
"some times" she laughed
Farah shook her head. "That was low," she joked softly, already sensing Anya's return to feeling better.
Anya yawned softly. She tried to light her flame but it was more of a match then a fire
"Give it time," Farah murmured.
Anya saw when Saul brought her blanket " thank you!"
