Eve broke the kiss off so they could keep walking without running into anything.

anya sighed, watching the ground as she walked

Eve lead her to Farah's room. She couldn't resist the pressing need to check in on her mother.

anya was the first to knock, her knuckle soundlessly rapped on the door from the banages " dang it.."

Eve giggled. "We don't have to knock." She opened the door and stepped inside. Farah was standing at her window, brushing her long hair. She turned her head quickly as the door opened, but she relaxed seeing her daughter. "Eve. Anya," she greeted.

anya waved, giving a soft smile

"How are your burns?" Farah asked, seeing the fresh bandages on Anya's arms.

" they're hurting but not much else.." she said simply

Farah nodded.

"How are you?" Eve asked quietly.

"I'm alright. Saul is taking care of me."

" thats good. speaking of the devil where is he?"

"Running Specialist spars," she replied, stepping back from the window and motioning for the girls to come closer. The view from Farah's window looked out across the back lawn of Alfea, and she had a clear line of sight across where the Specialists were training.

" i should have been down there today.." she said softly, looking down at her arms.

Farah frowned. "Not in your condition," she murmured, reaching for a mug of tea she had sitting on her bookshelf beside her and taking a sip of the warm liquid.

" i could have at least spectated. he shouldnt have to do it alone."

"Saul can handle himself," Farah promised. "He has for years."

" hes always had you too." anya said and gave a sly smirk.

Farah's eyes went wide. "I don't know what you mean," she replied, sipping her tea again.

"mhm." anya shook her head and pulled eve closer.

Eve chuckled. "Sure, Mom."

Farah looked out the window, a light flush appearing on her cheeks as her eyes quickly found Saul among the students.

" so, how long have you two been together?"

Farah blinked. “Married? 20 years.”

" an dating?" anya asked, shocked at the number of years.

Farah laughed at Anya’s shock. “Since we attended Alfea.”
