" yeah, " anya said " as much as rosalind descibed, you guys seemed to hate each other..

Farah's expression quickly became stoic again. "What did she say?" she asked quietly.

"that you guys fought alot, and at one point it got saul scratched.."

Farah stiffened as if Anya had brought up an unhappy memory. "He did," she confirmed quietly.

"oh.. im sorry.."

"It's alright," Farah replied, finally tearing her gaze from the window to meet Anya's eyes. "It's just…" She sighed. "It's just that when it happened, we were in the tail end of a fight. It was terrifying. I thought I was going to loose him, and the last thing we would've done was been fighting."

( speakig of that is it my turn for saul on the other one?) anya nodded. " sounds like you regret it.." she said

Farah gave a single nod. "We do our best not to fight anymore, and when we do, we resolve it as quickly as possible. I couldn't bear it if…" She trailed off her thought, but she didn't have to say it. What she mean was understood.

anya hugged farah. " i thought that way with eve too… " she said

Farah winced slightly, her back still sore and bruised, but she wrapped an arm gently around Anya – the arm that wasn't holding her tea. "I'm glad," Farah murmured.

anya let go and sighed, letting eve have her own words to her mother

Eve approached Farah slowly, and Farah saw the emotions behind her eyes. She held up her hand to silence Eve before she even said a word. "I know what you're going to say, and I've already told you my answer."

"I didn't even say anything," Eve protested.

"You didn't have to," Farah replied knowingly.

anya tilted her head "huh?"

Eve shook her head. "I'll tell you until you believe me. I can't be a headmistress. Even a temporary one."

" but eve you are, and your rocking it."

"I feel like… I don't know how I feel. Like I should be doing more, but I don't want to do too much, and I don't want to keep bothering you," Eve rambled.

anya kept her mouth shut, wishing she hadn't said anything

Farah sighed. "Eve…"

Eve shook her head. "Don't. Please don't."

anya came behind eve an hugged her " just listen to us,"

Eve jumped a bit, but she put her hands on Anya's. "Fine," she breathed.

"So, what am I listening to?" she asked, looking at Farah.

Farah shook her head. "Eve, you're the only person who is even close enough to the level of maturity a headmistress needs. You've been by my side, watching me work for years. I know you retained some, if not all of it. You're smart, Eve."

" your what we need to keep going love.." she said softly

Eve didn't know why she did what she was about to do, but it felt wrong to be keeping such a precarious bit of information a secret. "Rosalind is in my head."

Farah's compassionate and loving expression was instantly replaced with one of anger. "What?"

"She talks to me," Eve whispered. "I don't know how."
