When Aurelius woke up that morning, it was storming outside, and there was a newly-hatched baby dragon sitting feet away from him. He stood up and walked over to see if Oliver was aware that his dragon had hatched.
Pollux awoke, slumped back against the cave wall. He was quite groggy, not remembering that he had fallen asleep in the first place.
Oliver stood just inside the cave and his was just staring at him. He or she just floated there, Oliver wasn't sure of what to do. "So like, what do I do? It's just staring at me." It looked like smoke not exactly there but you couldn't see through it.
Aurelius glanced at the dragon with awe.
"You should probably try feeding it first. Usually that's a good first step in trust for any newborn."
"What do you feed a smoke dragon like thing?" Oliver had never seen a dragon that didn't have a physical body. The dragon moved closer to Oliver and it looked him straight in the eye then disappeared. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure… We should probably try meat first. What, can you not touch it or something?" Aurelius suggested.
Nox slowly awoke and had her piercing gaze fixed on the baby dragon.
"Yeah." Oliver turned to look at Aurelius but his body fell to the ground. His eyes glowed a blue color and he just stared at the ceiling of the cave. "A body is a lot harder to control then I first had thought." A young boys voice came, but it was different from Oliver's.
Lucky woke up only to find that Oliver's eyes were glowing blue. "What going on?" She asked. Frost woke up and came closer to the others.
“Is he possessed?” Farron crossed his arms and walked towards the boy.
(Btw a smoke dragon has never been heard of before.) "I need food." It said as it tried to stand but failed. "And he's not possessed, I'm his dragon, bit honestly I'm not even sure what's going on." The dragon was just as confused as everyone else.
“We’ll figure it out. As long as you’re not hurting him…” Aurelius said calmly, “After all, you’re one of a kind. I couldn’t have predicted this, but I did expect a unique dragon.”
"The only problem is I can't move and I don't know how to leave his body." The dragon was confused and concerned for the boy, it was his person and he didn't want to hurt him in any way. Maybe sit me up so I can see better?"
Lucky nodded and moved forward. She quickly lifted the boy and ser him against the cave wall just in case he fell over again.
"Thank you." The only thing the dragon could move was Oliver's head. He looked around to see many people and dragons. "Why are we in a cave?" It was all new to him since he was just born.
"This is a sanctuary of sorts. Normal people don't like the ideas of dragons walking around with them, we, however, are not normal." he responded as he leaned against a nearby wall.
Lucky nodded in agreement
"Well that's just silly." You could tell he was a young dragon just by the way he talked. "Anyway, we should figure out a way for me to get out of this kid." He needed to be able to talk to him if they were going to be bound together.
"Well… yes… I'd say stop trying to get out. You'll probably release on your own once you've relaxed a bit more," Aurelius suggested, pacing in front of everyone.
Pollux approached slowly and was going to ask what the hell this was, but he figured he should just watch and figure out what he could for now and ask questions later.
(Ah, cool… he’s kind of who I aspire to be… he’s me but stronger.)
The young dragon relaxed bit hoping that, that might help. "So are you guys just going to stay here forever?" Just seeing how many dragons and people were hurt made him uncomfortable. He didn't want to be in a world where he was being hunted.
“Well… hopefully not,” Aurelius said, “We just got here last night. We’re still trying to come up with a plan. This is only temporary refuge.”
Cerulean groaned and stood up, he had fallen asleep on Shadow and it wasnt a comfortable place either. He stretched and walked over to where Mara was
Mara groaned when she saw Cerulean walk up. She turned the other way thing that the wall was more interesting than him. Picking at the wall, she realized that this place wasn't going to be easy to escape from, but she wasn't about to give up.
"What's it like? You being with a group of people that look out for each other?" He asked quietly, sitting in the shadows near the wall of the cave.
"Good I guess." She wasn't sure how to answer that, or why he was asking in the first place. Was he trying to get her to say something or did he have something else on his mind? She raised an eyebrow at him, trying to figure him out. "What about you, what's it like to work with people who don't give a shit about you?"
