Brooke blushed and looked down. "You're pretty wonderful, too," she whispered, lifting her head to look him in the eyes. "You're funny, caring, and one of the best people I know." By now, she had forgotten that his sisters were even in the room.
"…Just one… of the best?"
"Well, it's pretty hard to beat my dad, but you're getting there," Brooke half-joked, smirking at him.
"Wait, so you're my number one but I'm not yours? How will this work out?" Jake played along, pretending to be concerned.
Brooke shrugged, her eyes holding laughter that contrasted with the seriousness in her tone. "I don't know. I guess we'll just have to find out."
Jake put his hand to his heart, feigning sadness. "Our relationship has been ruined before I took you out on our first date… sad."
"Aw, but you're my number one nonrelated-guy!" Brooke exclaimed. "My dad doesn't even count 'cause I wouldn't be here without him."
"True, true…" he kissed her forehead lightly.
(I gtg. My sister is telling me to…)
Brooke smiled at the light kiss.
"Much as I'm loving this talk, we have a movie to watch, and your sisters might not like the PDA," she whispered into Jake's ear.
(K… bye bye!)
Mellie butted in. "Yeah, the movie just started you two. Shush!"
(I'm not sure how much I'll be on the rest of this week or this weekend, I'm visiting fam.)
Brooke leaned back into the couch to enjoy the movie. She rested her head on Jacob's shoulder.
What a day, she thought as she watched the characters singing and dancing. Went to a party, my best friend is now my boyfriend, and now we're just hanging out and watching a movie. This is perfect.
(Just gonna bump this back to page one.)
(CARP SORRY I FORGOT
Hold on I'll reply in a sec)
(Lol. It's fine.
Also, completely random information: My fingers and arm hurt, and my arm is very bruised. I blame archery.)
(Yikes….
Completely random information: I hate my backpack because it crushed my granola bars… it has too much trash in it I forget to clean out. Seriously, how did sand get in there?!
Also if I don't respond quickly it's probably because I'm researching the book 'I Am a Cat.' I don't even know why I am…)
Jacob's attention was diverted away from the movie. He blushed furiously. I don't mind getting used to this…
(XD Lol. Poor granola bars!)
The movie was almost over when Brooke felt her eyelids start to droop. She blinked, trying to stay away for the last remaining bit.
Comfy. Tired. Warm. Sleep…
Her head nodded, but she shook herself awake, turning her focus on the dancing characters. By the time the credits had started to roll, sleep had won. Her eyes were shut and her breathing even as she slept, her head still resting on Jacob's shoulder.
Mellie turned. "So Brooke, what'd ya think of the movie-" she paused when Jake lifted a finger to his lips.
He sighed contently, careful not to make much movements as to wake her up. He leaned his head on hers slightly, eyes drooping as well.
(Poor, exhausted babies! They're just gonna pass out on the couch…)
Brooke's eyebrows furrowed in her sleep, and she muttered indistinguishable something under her breath.
"No… No more… Go'way. I don't eat pizza monsters, only regular pizza," she murmured randomly, still sleeping.
"That's right, shoo," he muttered in response to her murmur, half-asleep.
Jade and Mellie got up quietly and left the couple to sleep on the couch.
(I think I might pass out on the couch. No wait on the bed.
Wait I can't pass out my mind is too active for that)
"Shoe? No, shoes are for people," Brooke replied.
(Skip to when they wake up?
Probably a few minutes later, lol.)
(I think I might pass out on the couch. No wait on the bed.
Wait I can't pass out my mind is too active for that)
(Same, though.
My head hurts, too… I was in the bright, hot mid-day sun for an hour.)
(Awe. Hope it feels better.)
(Thanks. It comes and goes… Then again, that's normal for me…)
