"Okay, okay, fine. I'm sorry for teasing you," Brooke apologized, still reaching for his hand.
"Okay, okay, fine. I'm sorry for teasing you," Brooke apologized, still reaching for his hand.
(He's such a DORK)
Jake grasped her hand and grinned. "Much better." He swung their hands, giggling at how high they were going.
(Brooke and I both agree!)
Brooke laughed. "You're such a dork! I love it."
(Lol. I love my awkward child.)
"Well someone has to be in this relationship. I decided to make a sacrifice and fill in the role." he reasoned.
Brooke smiled and reached up to press a quick kiss to his cheek. She let go of his hand, bouncing on her toes. "I'll race you the rest of the way to your car!"
"You're on!" he pounded his fist in his other hand. Just because she was his girlfriend now didn't mean he was going to give her any head start.
"Okay, ready? Three…two…one… GO!" Brooke shouted. On "go", she ran as fast as she could to Jacob's car, laughing the whole way.
He took off, keeping his eyes on the car. He needed to win. No humiliation this time.
Brooke breathed heavily, slowing down. Why had she suggested running? That was a horrible decision. She glanced to her side, grimacing slightly as Jake started to pass her. There was no way she was going to win this without cheating, and she wasn't about to do that.
He grinned as he noticed her slowing down out of the corner of his eye. He finally reached his car and screeched in victory. "I have surpassed the great Brooke!"
"Yeah, yeah," Brooke said between breaths as she reached the car after him. "I'm slow, okay?"
"Slow-poke. A goldeen. Magicarp."
"Are you just gonna name off Pokemon to me, now?" Brooke asked, raising her eyebrows.
He winked at her and opened the passenger door. "M'lady."
Brooke rolled her eyes with a smile at the wink, before dipping into a curtsy. "Why, thank you, kind sir," she said, straightening and sliding into the seat.
He shut her door before heading into his own seat, starting up the car. "So do you need to go to your house or you wanna stay at mine?"
"I'm good with either," Brooke answered with a shrug. "If I go home I'll probably just end up binge-watching The Flash on Netflix…"
"Weeeelll if you come with me I'm depriving you of your binge-watching." Jake countered.
"Yes, but if I come with you I get to hang out with my best friend, who just so happens to now be my boyfriend," Brooke pointed out.
"Exactly," he nodded. "I shall be gentlemanly and let the lady choose."
Brooke groaned. "But I'm indecisive! I can't even choose what to eat for lunch half the time!"
"Well do you need to be back home at a certain time?"
"Jake," Brooke started, giving him a blank look. "I'm twenty years old. I have my own apartment."
"You could have something in the oven. I don't know, Brooke. I'm just making sure."
"Oh. I thought you meant, like, a curfew or something," Brooke said, letting out an awkward laugh at her mistake. "No, I don't have anything that needs to be taken care of at my place."
