"A prince who laid around and did nothing but wander aimlessly through life. Though it was rather nice compared to some of the peasants that came through the kingdom," Cyprus mused
"A prince who laid around and did nothing but wander aimlessly through life. Though it was rather nice compared to some of the peasants that came through the kingdom," Cyprus mused
“Still a prince.” Liam muttered, sighing and rolling onto his stomach again.
"Yes I am. Prince of a dead kingdom," Cyprus hummed before chuckling. "Prince of a dead kingdom. I spent at least four hundred years stuck in purgatory, only to come back and find that not a single one of my people had survived."
“I know, you’re still royalty even if your kingdom or people aren’t around,” Liam sighed, “Sorry, I still can’t get over that.”
Cyprus chuckled. "Oh, it's fine. Like I said, I appreciate the thought," he said, turning to give Liam a small grin
Liam returned the smile then brought his phone out to check the time. He could stay a little longer and for some reason was really glad to stay. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes.
Cyprus rolled onto his stomach, head tilting curiously as he looked at the phone. "Can I touch your cellular phone?" he asked slowly
Liam opened one and and smiled a little, “Sure.” He handed it to Cyprus, “Just don’t brake it or I’ll kill you again.”
"I won't break it," Cyprus assured him before taking it. He squinted at it, tapping at things like an elderly person trying to figure out how to use one
Liam tried to contain his chuckle. It was weird to think that Cyprus hadn’t used a phone before. He watched him carefully.
"All these infernal buttons are not meant for someone with one hand," Cyprus muttered, continuing to tap at the phone screen with a scowl
Aidan chuckled, “Yeah, that’s true.” His smile remained on his face.
Cyprus eventually got frustrated and handed the phone back to Liam. "No wonder I'm not allowed to touch the electronics on the ship," he huffed
Liam let out a laugh, “You’ve never used one before so it’s understandable.” He placed his phone in his pocket and watched the sky for a moment before standing up, “I should head home, same time tomorrow?”
Cyprus nodded, standing as well. He smiled at Liam before bowing. "Farewell, sir," he said before righting himself, still smiling happily at the other boy
Liam bowed as well, “Goodnight, Majesty.” He gave him one last smile before heading back the way he came, looking over his shoulder and giving a two fingered salute before disappearing.
Cyprus watched him go, still smiling to himself as he floated to the grave marker. He sighed, his smile softening as he rested his chin in one palm. "He's…nice," he murmured to himself
Liam sighed and couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. He sighed a little and couldn’t wait until tomorrow night when he could come back. He didn’t know why, Cyprus was just a… friend.
(time skip?)
(Yeee)
Cyprus was laying on his back in the grass, scowling up at the setting sun. He hadn't even put any effort into forming his body properly, so that the only things showing of his body were his head and half-translucent cloak
“Not going to form yourself fully tonight?” Liam asked, sitting down next to Cyprus and resting his head on his knees, looking at him with a slight smile.
"Don't feel like it," Cyprus said, his frown lessening a little as Liam arrived. He wasn't in the best mood, but he didn't want to subject Liam to listening to him
“What’s the matter? If you’ll care to tell me.” Liam asked laying down and rolling onto his stomach, resting his head on his hands and looking at Cyprus.
"I got into an argument with my host," Cyprus huffed. "And of course that's normal, but this time it was different. He was…bitter, and mean, which is completely unlike him. And I told him that, and then he told me he never wanted to see me again." His frown turned less upset and more…sad. "I'm not that horrible, am I?" he asked as he turned to Liam
