"Like I said. Perfect image of youth," Cyprus hummed, posing midair as he all but preened in the attention. Once upon a time people used to fall at his feet, so it was nice to have some appreciation

“Clearly.” Liam said, shaking his head a little to snap out of whatever trance he was in. He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand and went back to picking at the grass.
(okay, goodnight)
Cyprus smiled at that. He floated so that he was in front of Liam, sitting cross-legged while upside down in the air. “You know, there’s something I still haven’t figured out about you.”
Liam looked up and crossed his arms, leaning forward a little, “Really? And what might that be?” He asked.
“Why you haven’t run away screaming yet,” Cyprus continued. “Normally people see a ghost and they either don’t realize they have or they run away screaming. But you haven’t,” he pointed out
Liam gave a one shouldered shrug, “Does that bother you? Because I can do exactly that if you so wish.” He said, uncrossing his arms and placing them behind him.
“No, you don’t have to,” Cyprus said, turning himself rightside up as he looked at Liam. “I was just curious, really. It’s a nice change in all honesty.”
Liam gave a small smile but didn’t look Cyprus is the eye, “Yeah well, I nearly ran away, I thought it was a dream at first, but then I heard you talk and thought I’d take a look.”
“Well, that’s to be expected,” Cyprus said with a shrug. “I mean, how many cloaked men do you see in graveyards?” he chuckled
“Next to none,” He replied, his smile growing a little, “I don’t normally come to graveyards in all honestly, I just happened to be walking by one yesterday.”
“Odd,” Cyprus hummed, floating around Liam absently as he spoke. “What made you come looking through the graveyard, then?”
“I’m not entirely sure,” He admitted, frowning slightly, “I just felt an erge to walk through. Strange ‘cause I never do.”
Cyprus shrugged. "Sometimes things like that just happen." A small smile crossed his face as he floated leisurely through the air in front of Liam. "Though I'm glad you did. It gets sort of lonely here."
“Glad I’m of use to someone.” Liam said, giving him the same small smile back. He sighed and lay back in the grass and closed his eyes.
Cyprus smiled a bit at that. He floated over to Liam, laying down in the grass next to him but making sure that his cloak covered his badly damaged arm
“What happened to your arm? I’m not stupid, I can tell your trying to hide it…” Liam said, he kept his eyes closed when he spoke.
"I…I'd rather not say," Cyprus said sheepishly, tugging his cloak a little further across his side self-consciously as he tried to keep it hidden
“Okay, that’s fine, I respect if you don’t want to say.” Liam said placing a hand behind his head and sighing through his nose.
"It's just…gruesome is all. In my day injuries such as this were flaunted as shows of bravery, but this is another time," Cyprus explained
“I understand, like I said, if you don’t want to say, you don’t have to say.” Liam repeated, looking at Cyprus for a moment.
Cyprus frowned in thought for a moment. He felt bad for keeping the injury from Liam for some reason. So, he reached over to move his cloak off his damaged arm. It wasn't much of an arm at all, just a stump that started right above where the elbow should have been. It was mostly scarred purple skin, similar to the marks running across the rest of his face and body
“Holy crap! That’s some injury.” Liam said, looking at his arm injury for a moment. he shook his head and closed his eyes again.
"I warned you," Cyprus muttered before covering the damaged arm with his cloak again. "It was bitten off by the spirit that destroyed my kingdom."
“That’s too bad, I’m sorry.” Liam said quietly. he did feel bad for Cyprus, losing his arm and kingdom, but there was nothing he could do.
"It's fine," Cyprus replied, folding his good arm beneath his head as he stared up at the clouds. "It wasn't too bad, really. It looks a lot worse than it is."
