Hunter grinned.
"Using my own words against me, eh, Kenz?" he grinned.
Hunter grinned.
"Using my own words against me, eh, Kenz?" he grinned.
"You avoided the question," Kenzie noticed, cocking an eyebrow and smirking at Hunter. "Does that mean I'm right?"
"Oh no, I was merely stating a fact," Hunter replied. "But yes, Kenzie, you leave me vulnerable."
(Ugh! Idk how to respond to that… Meh, this'll do, I guess…)
Kenzie's smirk turned into a small smile. She shivered, then noticed how low the sun was. "We should probably go inside," she murmured, her attention back on her boyfriend. "It's getting pretty chilly."
Hunter opened his arms, a wide grin on his face.
"Come here," he said. "I'll warm you right up."
With a larger smile, Kenzie moved closer to Hunter and let him wrap her in his arms.
"You are warm!" she exclaimed, looking up into his face. "How can you be so warm?"
Hunter shrugged, tightening his hold on her.
"I don't know," he chuckled. "I guess I'm just hot."
Kenzie groaned and rested her head against his chest.
"That was horrible," she muttered with a hidden smile.
Hunter laughed.
"You're smiling," he said before reaching out into his pocket to pull out the key. With his arms still around his girlfriend, Hunter unlocked his door and pulled himself and Kenzie inside.
With her face still buried in Hunter's shirt, Kenzie giggled.
"I–" she started to speak, but was cut off by a loud rumbling from her stomach. She groaned again, then apologized for her stomach's annoyingly horrible timing.
Hunter laughed.
"It's okay, I'll whip us whatever you want," Hunter said, putting her down. "So, your highness, what would you like to eat?"
(Damn, I want some food rn myself)
(Lol. I'm honestly surprised that I'm not hungry rn…)
Kenzie grinned then made the most regal pose she could think of: both hands on her hips, chin tilted slightly upwards, lips pursed.
She looked thoughtful for a moment, then spoke in a royal voice: "Noodles with a sauce of crushed tomatoes and spices."
"As you wish," Hunter bowed, looking up and grinning.
(Was that a Princess Bride reference? I have a cute response if it was…)

(It wasn't, but you're free to reply cutely xD)

(Lol. It's kinda cute…)
"As you wish," Hunter bowed, looking up and grinning.
Kenzie froze, losing her regal bearing. A wide grin slowly grew on her face and her eyes sparkled.
"Was that a Princess Bride reference?" she asked.
Hunter blinked.
"Who? What?"
A disbelieving look replaced Kenzie's excited one.
"The Princess Bride? You know, only one of the funniest, most ridiculous love-story movies in the history of love-stories?" she explained incredulously.
"If you can't tell," Hunter started. "I'm more of a horror movie guy. "
Kenzie gaped at Hunter. "But… But, everyone has seen The Princess Bride! How can you not have seen it?!?"
"Leo hasn't," Hunter shot back. "I know because Leo rambles about everything he watches. Plus, it's romance. I'm not in for all the gooey stuff. The only love story I'm up for is ours."
(Aw, Hunter!)
"We're watching it tonight," Kenzie declared, her voice not leaving any room for debating. She gave him a look to match her tone of voice, almost challenging him to argue with her.
Hunter made an odd noise in the back of his throat but sighed.
"If it makes you happy," he muttered. "But does that mean you're planning on staying over?" he shot her a sly grin.
Kenzie blinked. "I– uh– Well, I mean–" she stuttered. Calm down! It's not like he's suggesting anything. She shook her head to clear it, then spoke in a determined voice, more for her own benefit than for Hunter's. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll stay over."
