The reaction was instantaneous: the beaker in which the sulferic acid and the mix of sodium and chlorine had exploded, the salt turning black as the glass was scattered around the room. "Holy fucking shit," she breathed, pulling out a piece of glass from the wall right next to her head gingerly. "I… didn't think the explosion would travel so far,"

i dunno, im stupid when people talk about science stuff.
(ACTUALLY, I’m going to type the scientific reason give me a moment.)
"Oh… oh thank God," Emma breathed. She uncorked a bottle and was about to put it to her mouth when she realized it was full of a pulsing yellow liquid. "Whoops, wrong bottle. That one was toxic," She took a swig from a small canteen of coffee. "A little something for my nerves,"
(Sodium and chlorine make table salt, but I don't know what would happen if you added sulferic acid, so I just did the same reaction that happens with sugar and sulferic acid, cross combined with the reaction when you combine sodium and chlorine)
"You're drinking coffee to calm down?" Aidan chuckled.
(SOOOO, as we all know chlorine is a halogen. And sodium is an alkali metal. And we also all know that halogens and alkali metals react aggressively. Why? BECAUSE halogen elements want an electron, and alkali metals don’t want an electron. [I might have mixed them up…] Chlorine is the most notorious halogen btw. WHEN chlorine meets sodium, it forcefully takes an electron away from it, but the sodium didn’t want the extra electron to begin with. During that time, that’s the big explosion. And when the explosion is over, it makes a happy safe to eat salt. Because both elements are satisfied with their 8 electrons in their outer rings. Also yes, I did hand type it. That’s why it’s such a crappy explanation.)
(Since sugar and salt seem similar, I thought we would get similar reactions)

(No, it’s perfectly fine. My friends (@ImNotCrazyImAFangirl) tell me to shut up everytime I start to scientifically explain something. This is one of the few times i get to finish my explanation. And it makes me really happy! :D)

"Caffine is calming to some people."
Thatcher walked along the edges of the clans region. Nalla had grown restless and had begun to nip at his fingers as a way of telling him that she was hungry. He walked through the brush, searching for any small animals that he would be able to feed the three headed hound.
Aidan shrugged. "Alright. I won't judge." He took out a permanent marker from his pocket and began drawing on his hand.

"Actually," Emma interrupted, "It makes me fear for my sanity, but in this way it gives me something to worry about instead of thinking that something's going to blow up in my face and kill me every five minutes," There was a short, silent pause. "Hey, what are you drawing there?"
Thatcher checked his watch a few minutes later. Nalla’s Three heads were fighting over the remains of a rabbit. He nudged her and shook his head, and she went calm. “I have to go to class, and you three know you can’t come with me. Go on, go home,” he said to the hound, and she ran off. He jogged back to the academy and went inside, walking through the halls.
Aidan showed her what he had so far. "A brick wall with ivy."
"Neat. Are you in Kemad? I heard that they also like creativity,"
(Maybe Thatcher can come in this room for class, but it's the wrong room?)
"I'm in Kemad, but who cares about nerdy Flora?" she thought.
