Wendi was supposed to be training with the rest of the Hecate cabin, but her half-siblings insisted she take the day off after a mild panic attack that morning. She honestly had been expecting it given most of the summer campers had left to go back to their homes already and the 5th year anniversary of her arrival at camp was coming up soon. What she, and no one else, had been expecting was the mist maze she had accidentally covered a majority of the camp in during her panic attack. Name: Aviv Perez
Age: 19
Gender: demiboy
Pronouns: he/they
Sexuality: asexual
Godly Parent: Jaci Jaterê, the Guarani god of the siesta/sleep/rest and protector of secret treasures
Weapon(s): a leather necklace with a small, blue glass bead tied to it, and this bead acts as the key. When Aviv grabs the necklace and holds the bead to his chest, it can form a magical shield around them
Powers (if any): invisibility, which he can control at will. They can also make suggestions to people to get them to do certain things, it’s a bit similar to charmspeak. However, he can only use this power if it is a reasonable action and he invokes their father’s name. It also takes energy out of them. Aviv is also known as a sort of Secret Keeper. You can tell them a secret or give him something precious to you, and they will always keep it safe in little mason jars that can only be opened by the people with the secret, or Aviv himself.
Appearance: Aviv is about 5’10 with a slender, angular frame. He has a bit of a diamond-shaped face with a brown olive complexion, with freckles splashing their skin. His hair is dark, a little long and wavy, with some of it falling into his eyes, which are striking clear blue. Dark glasses also rest around his eyes, and he tends to wear loose, comfy clothes.
Personality: Aviv is a very quiet and introverted person, though being at the camp as long as he has, has given them a few friends. This is good, as they deeply value close relationships and caring for others, and as such he’s very sincere and insightful when he interacts with people. Other times, especially with strangers, they’ll appear gruff and skittish. They also tend to prefer peaceful living and quiet, not much for adventuring or questing.
Short Backstory: sorry guys, you’re not getting the short version. Aviv was raised in a large family, with his mom (a descendant of Athena), stepdad, and 5 younger siblings. It was chaotic and sometimes difficult for Aviv, as from the time he was around 8 they were often asked to take care of their siblings while his parents worked. Sometimes he was able to calm things down, other times not so much. It drained them, and he never had much time to himself. That, in addition to his insomnia, made their energy level perpetually low. Sometimes he would go mute or invisible without them realizing it, inadvertently causing more chaos.
When Aviv was about 13, their family traveled all the way to rural Peru to visit their grandparents. It wasn’t a bad vacation, and the usual chaos died down a little. Aviv liked to sneak into the forest to have some actual alone time. On one of these sneak-outs, he heard something that sounded like a lullaby in the air. Entranced, he followed it, and eventually saw a light-haired figure in the distance before falling unconscious.
When they woke up, they were in a small house in the middle of the jungle. A blonde man was in the house with him, and Aviv soon remembered the stories of Jaci Jaterê that his mother would tell him when they couldn’t sleep. He was afraid, but the man soon calmed him down and told them everything… well, most things. Yes, he was Jaci Jaterê, but also that Aviv was his child and that his mother would soon know where they were. However, she would not come to look for him. Aviv was to live with his father now.
So it went. At first, Aviv was scared, worried about his siblings and their family leaving Peru without him. Over time, however, they grew used to their new quiet life. Jaci taught him to control his invisibility and the other abilities he didn’t even know they had. Even better, he would use his hypnosis to lull Aviv to sleep, temporarily curing his insomnia. Jaci was a little cold sometimes, and quiet as well. Very rarely did he show them physical affection. Sometimes, his father would get this look in his eyes, and he would turn invisible and leave Aviv alone for a few hours. Aviv himself rarely left, they knew the stories of the jungle and it would be too dangerous for them. Indeed, it was the opposite of his previous life with their mortal family. Then, after about a year and a half, things changed. Jaci returned from his mysterious trips with a small boy asleep in his arms. He explained that the boy was lost, that he had found Jaci and not the other way around (as it usually happened). When the boy woke up, he told them his name was Noah, and so Aviv now had a little adopted brother of sorts. They grew close and spent a lot of time together, but Aviv still was able to get time to themself. Soon it became clear that Noah was also a demigod, but neither Aviv nor Jaci knew who his godly parent could be. But life moved on, with the god and the boys in his care, for another two years.
Aviv was now 16, turning 17 soon. Jaci Jaterê wakes him and Noah up to tell them they must leave soon, that they were in danger. He was hesitant to say why, but Aviv knew it was likely Jaci Jaterê’s monstrous brothers, who they realized were also their uncles. He and Noah helped each other pack up a bit, and when they were ready, Jaci sat them down. They all said their goodbyes, and the god turned to Aviv first. He gave him a singular kiss on the cheek, teleporting him back to their mortal grandparents house after so many years. After some crying and seeing his family one last time, Aviv found his way to camp not long after that.
Some things that should be mentioned: sometime after they came to camp they started dating a daughter of Hermes, but it didn’t go well and they broke up about 6 months before the start of this roleplay. Noah, being a demigod, also made it to the camp, and Aviv still tries to be close and protective of him even though he doesn’t seem to remember them now.

Wynn made his way from the forge down to where Amelia was currently laying out, he dropped his towel in the sand and took off his shirt. He used it to wipe some grease off his face before he dropped that too. Totally not showing off his toned body or anything.
He moved to head into the water, splashing Amelia as he did, swimming and washing his face and body a little bit before just allowing himself to float on his back and relax.

Adin walked out of the hermes cabin, stretching as he was a year round camper that decided not to go back to school. It was just too taxing on his mom for him to be there and cause her trouble when she was already struggling with her business on her own.
He didn't want to make trouble for her.
He let out a yawn as he walked across the camp grounds to make his way to the training grounds. He wasn't a big fighter, he just wanted to see who was still around that he could bother.
"Camp sure is empty." He huffed.

(Or, or echo-location. Sees via soundwaves. That would be kinda cool too.)

(DareDevil vibes)

(Exactly. Have a little bit of fun with it as long as you don't get too carried away. I will reign people in if anything gets too out of control)

Dove pushed through the Mist, walking up to Wendi with her bow and arrow still slung over her shoulder. She didn’t want to disturb her friend, but she at least wanted to check on her before went back to training.
“Wendi?” She called out softly.

Noah was just napping at the edge of the strawberry field, he had eaten his fill of them and then gotten drowsy and fell asleep cuddled up in his blanket.

Aviv usually watched the camp from the shadows, not really feeling much welcome. He did make sure to watch over Noah, though, and when the small boy fell asleep, they made themself visible and went over to him, taking Noah in his arms. He took a strawberry too, hoping the Dionysus and Demeter kids wouldn’t mind.

Noah snuggled into Avivs arms, pulling his blanket around himself as he slept. However he didn't remain peaceful for long, as he quickly started tossing and turning in Avivs arms. His brows creased on his face and he started tearing up, the tears dripped down his cheeks as she shook.
