With him standing now, Amelia had to tilt her head up to look at him. She dropped her arms from her chest and cocked her hip to the side. "Now you're twisting my words. I said I don't want my hair to get in the water. That doesn't mean I can't dip my toes in to cool off a bit. And hair ties exist if I did decide I wanted to get in. Which I don't."
She squared her shoulders, trying to appear taller. She wouldn't let him think to intimidate her. No one could.
He had a little bit of a grin on his face as he looked down at her, despite them being a little ways away.
"I'm not twisting your words, but whatever. Whatever floats your boat princess." He shrugged at her as he stood in the water, ot made his hair wet and slick to his head and he made sure It covered up his ears and some if the left side of his face.
"I am not a princess. I don't understand why you keep calling me that." Amelia clenched her jaw, eyes narrowing. She couldn't help that she was beautiful. She just was. That didn't mean she was a pampered princess. The only one that pampered her was herself. There was nothing wrong with taking care of your body. Skincare was important. It didn't matter how old you were.
She doubted Wynn did skincare, yet his skin looked seemingly flawless. It wasn't fair that the gods blessed those with good skin that wouldn't even take care of it or do anything to showcase it.
She turned on her heel, making for her towel. She turned her head to look back at him, flipping her hair over her shoulder the way most boys liked it. "I'll let you go back to your oogling in peace. And I'll pretend I can't see you staring. Though I can't blame you."
He shrugged, seeing her walk back out of the water and back over to her towel. ,
"It just seems fitting. Though I suppose I could always find a different nickanme to use for you.'"
He had his arms crossed as he was talking with her before his eyes widened at her bringing up his quote on quote, Oogling.
He looked away as his face flushed in embarrassment.
He moved to put a hand on his neck and started rubbing his neck.
He grumbled something as he ran a hand through his long hair, something that he did when he was nervous or embarrassed. He moved down to use his hand to cover his face partially as he looked away.
"Look- I'm not gonna deny that your attractive. However I wasn't trying to oogle you or whatever termage you want to use."
He huffed at her, moving to look back at her as he talked.
Amelia laughed at him. He looked cute all flustered. Her lips turned up into a full grin. She turned to face him again, if only to spare him from looking at her butt. She couldn't have those tan lines so of course she was wearing a cheeky bikini. She tilted her head as she looked at him, studying him.
"Aw, you think I'm pretty." She giggled. "You don't need to lie. I'd stare at me too. I am a sight to see. I won't stop you from looking."
Her eyes softened slightly as she looked at him. "You shouldn't cover face with your hair. Own it, whatever you're trying to hide."
Eden grabbed the towel as she stood up. Coral wasn't going to use it anyway. Knowing him, he would go straight to the cabin and perhaps take a nap. As she walked across the beach, she spotted one of the Hermes kids. If memory served her right, she believed the boy was named Adin. She knew for a fact that most of the Hermes kids were currently training, so she found it just a tad bit weird that he was here. She walked up to Aiden and stopped a few feet away. "Um, hi, Adin, right?"
Adin turned and saw Eben moving over to talk to him and a grin appeared on his face as he moved over to meet up with them.
"Yup! I'm Adin, Adin Reeves. Who might you be? I can't seem to recall your name at the moment."
He shoved his hands in his pockets as he talked to them.
"Hey," Wendi replied glancing at Dove as she sat down next to Wendi. She let out a long sigh as she banged her head against her knees at Dove's second comment. Wendi appreciated Dove checking in, but after this morning it just felt like more coddling. Her eyes were closed and she was trying not to let the Mist get out of control, "Just peachy. Having a great day. You know how it is."
Immediately, Dove felt anxious from the way Wendi reacted. So much for finding it easier to control her emotions. “Ah. Yeah. I’ll leave you alone now.”
She stood up, adjusting her bow and arrow, and walked away. Maybe she shouldn’t have come, Dove thought to herself. Wendi would just come back when she wanted to.
He pulled his blanket close around him as he trembled from his nightmare. He jolted awake gasping for air as he nervously glanced around his surroundings before seeing Aviv and taking a second to recognize them from earlier in camp.
He just looked away And wiped his eyes.
He blinked when the boy snapped awake, but tried their best to comfort him. “It’s alright,” and “I’m here,” he murmured. He reached out and helped wipe his hears then opened their arms to offer a hug.
Nicolas had found a quiet corner in the training area. he was working with his dual swords. They weren't something easily wielded and he was one of few at camp that attempted to use them. He wasn't training for the upcoming capture the flag game. Truthfully, he could care less about the game. Squabbling with a bunch of children running around with weapons and hurting themselves did not sound ideal. Some of those children were dangerous. They had no idea how to wield their weapons and thus were more in danger of causing permanent damage. So he typically tried to stay out of the way during the games. His shadow manipulation made that quite easy. It also made it easy to win as well. The sooner the game was over, the sooner he could go back to enjoying his lonesome self.
Ezra walked to the training area, he had been there before so he could easily walk there. He sat down with a book. He sighed, opening the book and running his fingers over the pages to read. He kept his head down, so to anyone not really lokking, he would look like someone wearing sunglasses and reading. He could hear there was someone else in the area, but he chose to ignore it. He liked being there, it was a nice spot and he could watch people spar. With the clanging of metal and conversation echoing off objects.
He looked up at Aviv sniffling before moving to hug him tightly with his blanket arms.
"D-dont let go..o-okay..?" He spoke softly, stumbling a little over his words.

Her eyes softened slightly as she looked at him. "You shouldn't cover face with your hair. Own it, whatever you're trying to hide."
He flustered more in embarrassment as she continued on, though he wouldn't deny being a bit annoyed.
"No prettier then any of the other aphrodite kids." He spoke, grumbling. His eyes widened when he heard her talking about him covering up the left side of his face.
"You wouldn't understand…I cover it for a reason." He moved to cover it as she said that.
Amelia scoffed. Her eyes narrowed in furry. Like the other Aphrodite kids? No way. Each and every one of her siblings was beautiful in there own way. It wasn't right to compare them. Especially when Amelia was the prettiest out if all of them. "And yet here you are, stalking me, and not any of the other ones."
She stepped closer to him, reaching her hand out as if to touch him. "If you say so. Let me know when you're done hiding. You could use a haircut. Or a different hair style. Just stop off at my cabin and I'll see it done." Amelia dropped her hand and stepped back. She wouldn't force him to do something he didn't want too.
It didn't go unnoticed to Nicolas that someone else joined the training arena. Curiosity got the better of him and he looked over to see a boy reading. He almost scoffed. Who came down here to read? If he had looked close enough, he would have realized who the camper was, but he didn't. He just turned his attention away, trying to block out everything as he focused on the fighting dummy in front of him.
He looked up at Aviv sniffling before moving to hug him tightly with his blanket arms.
"D-dont let go..o-okay..?" He spoke softly, stumbling a little over his words.
“Never.” They wrapped their arms around him, keeping him snug and safe. “We’ll stay here as long as you need to.”
Quietly, he sighed, thinking back to only a few years ago, when they were together under Jaci Jaterê’s roof. This felt the same, yet so different.
Ezra sighed, finishing the chapter and closing the book. He took off his glasses, turning his face up to the sun. The warm feeling of the sun on his face always made him feel relaxed. He sat like that for a few moments, just relazing in the sun.
He was in a funk, Nick decided. He just couldn't concentrate. Everything he did was wrong. He was off balance. He was striking wrong. His grip was wrong. No matter what he did to try to fix it, it didn't work out. He sheathed his swords and sat down on the ground. He used his hand towel to wipe the sweat off his forehead before bowing his head between his knees. It felt like no matter what he did, he couldn't get anything right.

She stood up, adjusting her bow and arrow, and walked away. Maybe she shouldn’t have come, Dove thought to herself. Wendi would just come back when she wanted to.
Wendi felt bad after hearing Dove's response and then as she walked away. Wendi felt even worse about how she responded, but it was hard when she just wanted someone to treat her normally instead of acting all concerned. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate it, but it didn't exactly feel the best. She let out a long sigh and played with her sleeves as she sat. Now she felt guilty about making Dove go especially when Dove had her own issues to deal with.
He was in a funk, Nick decided. He just couldn't concentrate. Everything he did was wrong. He was off balance. He was striking wrong. His grip was wrong. No matter what he did to try to fix it, it didn't work out. He sheathed his swords and sat down on the ground. Ezra stood up to leave, walking out he ran into something, someone probably. "Sorry-" He took a step back, his glasses rested on his head as he waited for the person to say something, so he could better tell where they were.
Nick let out a small grunt as he got ran into. He looked up at the boy, eyes narrowing. "Do you not look where you're walking? I'm not something that's easily missed." He all but growled out. Nicolas was not in the mood. Not that he was ever in the mood. But he certainly wasn't in the mood today.
Ezra smiled, "I try, but I can't seem to see very well" he looked at Nick, well, as well as he could with being blind. He was making a joke, knowing that the guy would probably apologize for being rude. Something he hated when people did.
Nick raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. '"Well, if you can't see you should be using a cane or something so things like this don't happen. You need to be more aware of your surroundings." He stood up, towering over the boy. His arms crossed, watching him. He didn't look blind. Then again, it wasn't like the movies where their eyes got milky white.
Ezra sighed, "that would make it obvious.. Besides I can tell where stuff is most of the time, it was just to quiet." He shrugged, putting his glasses back on.
"That's the whole point, though." Nicolas shook his head, unbelieving. "People will know to get out of the way and such if you make it obvious. And, this could have been easily avoided." He didn't quite understand why the boy put sunglasses on. It wasn't like he needed them. He couldn't see.
Ezra shook his head, "people are weird, I prefer to keep to myself, and I don't like walking with a cane anyway, it gets in the way."
