He smiles ever so slightly, then closes his eyes. In all honesty, he didn’t even look peaceful while he slept. He now started to look like he was fighting for his life, even when resting.

Meg smiles back, while his eyes are open. But this time she stays as he sleeps, opening the book he gave her and starts reading it. She’s not so ignorant to not know why he gave her one of his favorite books.
He wheezes in his sleep, having more and more trouble breathing. Every now and then, it would seem like he just entirely stopped breathing at all. But soon he would go back to breathing normally, and the cycle would continue for several hours.
Meg winced at the sound and held her breath every time she couldn't hear him. The silence was unnerving for quite a few reasons. She sighed and closed her eyes. “Please do not take away my only friend.” she begged under her breath.

(XD naw its just a scare- im not mean-)
Aaron seemed to stop breathing once again. Though this one seemed to stay for longer. His chest stilled and he seemed to go limp. It took him a long while before he finally gasps for air and slowly open his eyes.
Meg had tears in her eyes when Aaron started breathing again. Seeing him go limp brought up too many memories of when she lost her father. “A-Aaron?”
Aaron looks at her, “Meg…what- what happened…?” He tries to sit up, but sadly was too weak now to do so.
“You stopped breathing.” she sighs, wiping her eyes. “You… You scared me.”
He frowns slightly, then reaches up and wipes away a stray tear. “I’m…so sorry…I’m ok now…I’m breathing…”
Meg nods, still trying not to cry. “I was really worried.” she whispered.
He nods, “I know…I know…I’m sorry…” He brushes her hair behind her ear.
“You really scared me. I thought I lost you.” she murmurs, leaning into the touch.
He sighs and gently pulls her into a hug. “Well I’m not going down without a fight…you can be sure of that…”
Meg chuckles tearfully and nods. “Good.” she replies, returning the hug.
He gently rubs her back, humming softly. “I’d never willingly leave such an amazing person like you…”
Meg laughs again, gently tightening the hug. “Thank you. You are the best friend I've ever had.”
He smiles softly, closing his eyes. “I’m glad…you deserve a good friend…”
“So do you.” she whispers. “I hope I’m good enough.”
He laughs softly, “More than just ‘good enough’…” He mumbles. “You are way more…”
“Thank you.” she smiles softly. “You are very kind.”
He smiles softly, then pulls away from the hug slightly. He looks at her, a soft, almost loving look in his eyes. She stayed there with him…even when he was sleeping…she had no idea how grateful he felt. Especially being able to wake up and find out he wasn’t alone.
Meg blushes at the way he was looking at her. Her heart fluttered, feeling like she was about to melt… She knew she liked Aaron but she also believed that she didn't deserve him.
