He hums, “Well then, I’ll just have to see what I need first.” He smiles playfully at her. “Since my doctors have no idea.”
He hums, “Well then, I’ll just have to see what I need first.” He smiles playfully at her. “Since my doctors have no idea.”
Meg laughed softly and smiles warmly back at him. “I guess I should start reading more medical books.”
He laughs, “I actually have been as well. I assume there is still much to learn…” He clears his throat.
“Then perhaps you could teach me what you know so I can catch up with you.” she suggests with a gentle smile.
He smiles back, “Hm…maybe I should.” He chuckles, “We need more smart and capable doctors.” He smiles.
Aaron already knew this was an unpopular opinion for women. Nor did he care. He already knew the “restrictions” were bullshit. Even his parents never informed such a thing.
Meg chuckles, smiling. “You really think I’m smart enough for that?”
She had never really paid attention to the official “restrictions” of jobs since she had never figured out which one best suited her. She knew she enjoyed drawing and sketching but every once in a while she would go hunting and never noticed anyone’s reaction to it. At least she knew she wasn't bothered by blood.
He smiles warmly, “Of course you are…” He hums, laying back down with a soft grunt.
Meg smiles back at the reply. “Thank you. I won't let you down.” she promises, watching him with some concern at the sound.
He chuckles, “Thank you…” He takes her hand, gently tracing his thumb over the back of her hand.
“What are you thanking me for?” she asks with a light chuckle, blushing a little as she holds his hand.
He hums, “For being you…for…being yourself…for living…you are so incredibly amazing…” He mumbles softly.
Meg could feel her blush growing as he spoke. “You are still too generous.” she teases gently.
He laughs, “Kindness is not something someone should be generous in. Kindness, for me, is expected no matter what the circumstances. Now of course if the person I’m showing kindness to is rude then we may have problems but…that’s not the case here.” He smiles. “I am simply being a gentleman as well as expressing my feelings.”
Meg laughs softly and shakes her head. “You certainly a gentleman. There’s no argument from me on that fact.” she assures, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
He smiles warmly, closing his eyes. He then looks at her. “You…are so amazing…” He whispers, a loving look filling his eyes.
Meg blushes again as she recognizes the look as the same one that her father would give her mother. She just hoped the warm smile was enough to show how she felt for Aaron. “I would argue that I'm not really but I know I won't be able to change your mind.” she teases.
He chuckles, “Not one bit. I am a hard head.” He smirks softly at her. “And now you have to deal with my stubbornness.”
“And you have to deal with mine.” she reminds with a playful smirk.
He smirks back, “Ah! We are just a match made in heaven then.” He chuckles.
Meg laughs with him. “Perhaps we are.”
He smiles brightly, “Oh if I had the strength to pick you up I would…” He mutters.
“If you were well enough, I would try to pick you up.” she replies, smiling just as brightly.
He laughs, “You could try. Though I am pretty light…” He smirks. “Very convenient for your plans of picking me up.”
“Don't worry. I won't do that until you are no longer bed-ridden.” she assures.
He chuckles, “Oh good. I’m safe from your wrath.” He smiles.
