Brisha smiles, “Of course, my dear…”
Aaron hums, snuggling into the sheets.
Brisha smiles, “Of course, my dear…”
Aaron hums, snuggling into the sheets.
Meg smiles softly at Aaron and brushes her fingers through his hair. “Get some rest.” she whispers before looking back at the man who brought the blankets.
Aaron quickly falls asleep, smiling softly.
Brisha smiles warmly, adjusting Aaron’s blankets. “There we are…” He whispers.
“Thank you again.” Meg whispers, watching the older man smile at Aaron.
He looks at Meg and nods, “Of course…he’s like a son to me…I’d do anything for him.”
Meg smiles softly and nods. “So would I. He means a lot to me.” she admits softly.
Brisha smiles warmly, “Hm…I see…” He hums, “Well, I’ll let him rest. If you, or him, need anything, then let me know.”
“I will. Thank you, sir.” she smiles politely.
He nods and walks out, smiling warmly.
Aaron hums softly in his sleep, rolling onto his side.
Meg sits back down on the edge of the bed and picks up the book, rereading where she had left off but still keeping an eye on Aaron.
After a while, Aaron makes a face and shifts in his sleep. He then coughs slightly, whining in his sleep.
Meg looks up at him and gently placed her hand against his forehead as she set down the book, hoping that his fever had finally broken.
Sadly, the warmth had only gotten worse. His face was red now and he was shivering more.
Meg bites her lip in worry as she pulls up another blanket. She reaches into her satchel, pulls out a handkerchief, and dips it into the water before dabbing it against Aaron’s brow.
Aaron makes a face in his sleep, whimpering softly.
“I know, Aaron. It's ok.” she whispers, not wanting to wake him up. “Once the e fever breaks, you'll start feeling better.”
He whimpers again, mumbling in his sleep. “Mmmphm…”
She gently shushes him, continuing to wipe his brow as she starts humming.
Eventually, he hums softly and relaxes. His fever slowly starts to go away.
Meg smiles softly as she sees him relax and feels his fever fading. But she doesn't remove the blankets yet.
He leans into her, snuggling into the blankets and humming softly. It seemed like even as his fever disappeared, he enjoyed being under all the warmth.
Meg chuckles softly and places a light kiss on his cheek before going back to reading.
Aaron smiles softly in his sleep. After a long while, he slightly wakes up and mutters to Meg, still half asleep. “Hmm…what are you doing…?”
“Watching over you.” she replies, smiling softly. “I've been reading your book too.” she admits.
He hums, “Why not cuddle me instead…” He mumbles, snuggling into the blankets.
