“Y-Yeah, of course,” Drake said excitedly, innerly cursing himself for stuttering so much. He slid his phone into his back pocket, smiling. I’m going on a date with Charlotte… Drake could hardly stand still he was so happy.

"See you later," she said with a wink, before taking another shot and disappearing into the crowd of people. She smiled to herself as she walked. Maybe things would work out between them. Maybe he'd actually love her this time, and not leave her for somebody else. The thought of love got her heart pounding. God, I know we just met, but he's so cute and sweet and funny and I already want to kiss him, she thought to herself. She was still thinking about it when she went to sleep that night, giggling softly as she drifted off.

Drake smiled, watching her go. He took a celebratory drink for himself, then made his way back to his apartment with a smile all the way. He flopped onto his bed after a shower, still thinking of Charlotte as he began to drift off into sleep. She’s just so amazing, the way she walks and talks and everything…

It was finally the weekend. Saturday. Pandora had been dreaming of this date, thinking of it all day and night, giggling all the time. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this way. She opened her phone, smiling, and decided to text Drake.
Hey, where are we meeting again? And what time?

Drake felt his phone buzz and open it up, smiling when he saw the text. He texted back:
At the French restaurant on Main Street, 6:00
He was already on his way, he wanted to get there early just to be ready. Drake had put on his best suit, combed his hair at least a thousand times, and made sure to have a pack of mints in his pocket. He had even made reservations ahead of time.

She squealed with delight and hurried to get dressed, making sure she chose something that showed off her greatest features. Her dress wasn't formal, but it hugged her body in all the right places. She wasn't wearing much makeup, but just enough to highlight her lips and large eyes and cheekbones. She could confidently say she looked stunning, maybe even a little bit sexy. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought of Drake seeing her like this, and she skipped out her door, excited for the night ahead of her.

Drake smiled, the taxi got him at the restaurant early, and his table was ready early too. This night is going to go so well… He sat down at his table, popping a min t in his mouth as he waited.

When Pandora finally arrived at the entrance of the restaurant, she couldn't help but smile. She hadn't been on a date with a guy in so long, and now she finally could, and maybe she'd have a chance to get things right this time. Maybe he really would fall in love with her, and things would be okay. She wasn't that bad, was she?

Drake was already standing up out of his seat when he saw Charlotte, smiling as he walked up to greet her, “Hi Charlotte, you look lovely this fine evening,” Drake grinned at her, offering an arm to show her to the table.

Pandora's smile faltered for a moment when she heard her false name, but returned quickly. She still wasn't used to hearing Charlotte. "So do you, Drake," she said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear as she spoke, heart beating faster.

Drake pulled out a chair for her, smiling all the way, “I’m really glad that we could, uh, well, you know, go out together. I think this will be really fun,” He grinned, tried to pushed that nervousness down and away. She’s just so pretty…

"I'm sure it will be," she said, a giggle bubbling out of her before she could stop it. She covered her mouth and cleared her throat, embarrassed by her own laugh.

“What?” Drake smirked a little bit, his eyes crinkling with slight amusement, “That was really cute…” He grinned, tilting his head slightly as his smile grew with every passing moment.

She shook her head, biting her lip and attempting to hide her blush. "It really wasn't…" she ran a hand through her hair again, looking up at Drake. "Anyway… I was wondering, what's your last name? If we're finally going on a date, I feel like I should at least know that much?"

Drake laughed, “Yeah, you probably should. My last name’s Blike” He told her with a smile, “What was your last name again?” He leaned his arm on the table, propping his chin up.

She felt her heart pound as she looked over at Drake. He was just so… cute. And handsome. She almost completely forgot that she had actually been asked a question, lost in his eyes and lips and just his presence overall. "Daae," she answered, looking down at her napkin. "It's a weird name, I know… but I personally kind of like it, since it's also the last name of my favorite fictional character."

“Really? That’s pretty cool,” Drake smiled even more, if that was possible, as he added, “And Charlotte Daae has a nice ring to it.” He couldn’t be happier, going on a date with Charlotte like this. He just had a feeling -a good feeling- about this relationship
A waiter walked over, a tall man with a short beard, and asked, “What would you two like to drink?”

(Drake nooooo back away from this relationship, don't go with your gut this time)
Her blush grew at his comment, and she took the waiter as an opportunity to calm herself down. "A gladd of red wine, please? Would that be okay?" She turned to look at Drake, asking for his permission.

“Of course, and I’ll have a glass of red wine too,” He smiled, and after the waiter walked away he added, “And don’t worry about money or anything, I’m paying and you can order whatever you want.” Drake smiled reassuringly, but he hoped there wasn’t anything too expensive on the menu.

Pandora's eyes lit up at that. "Really? I can do that?" She asked, looking down at the menu. She didn't necessarily want or need the most expensive things on there, but… if Drake really liked her, he wouldn't mind, right?
