my solution for writers block, is to start another book. my solution for having to many books, is to start another book. and lastly; my solution for my mental health problems, is to start another book. hope this helps :)
Basically. I had a short story in progress, and then stuff happened, motivation died, and then I immediately started another short story featuring a different ship, and here we are now. Just, in this case, it's not books, it's my little short stories.
huh, do you think we should have like a summary of what we're all working on?

Sure, why not?

I've got lunch in about 65 seconds, so… not me!

okay
I'll go after you
I'll go after both of you. I'd love to share my current idea!
i have too many books. if we follow the timeline it goes, where one meets two: which is during the transition between a 'ready player one'-esk world minus awesome vr, to a magic fantasy world where everything else takes place. the next one is called, wyvern's tale: it's a few small books on the early life and rise of the dragon king. then comes the main series about the rise and fall of the most powerful recorded witch. afterwards, the eyes of another: comes the witches downfall at the hands of the most cookie-cutter 'knight in shining armor' guy, bur told from a side characters view (it's supposed to be a bit more comedic, and have some minor 4th wall breaking) and a spin off, silent whispers: about a half-elf lady with some really cool powers and such that brings even more world building to the whole thing. and last is a collection of short stories, mrs.fable's stories: revealing more of the world building and also secrets from the other books.
Ooh! Those sound intriguing! Here's mine:
I only have one that I have forced myself to work on for the past year and am currently writing the second draft right now. It's about a girl named Blade, who lives in basically a rebel 'Clan' that's mission is to kill the king that's basically a heartless murderer. Plus romance, plot twists that blew up my friends brains, and death/destruction. It's generally chaos and my first draft is absolute garbage, but it's coming alone good now and I'm at 12,000 words in my second draft. :)
Both of your stories sound really interesting! Here's mine so far!
The title is a work in progress, so I can't share that, nor has it gotten far, but I'm gonna blame school for that one. However, the general plot is there are two kingdoms, one with magic and one without. The two are close to going to war, but the princess and prince's friendship keeps their parents from declaring war. That's the base lore. As for the actual plot, the prince breaks a family heirloom, which causes the princess to cast a spell of misfortune upon him. So, now banned from the kingdom, the prince and his guard (also his best friend) embark on a journey to break the curse before a war can break out. They run into a few friends to help them, but there is a constant threat, that being an assassin out to kill the prince as they were ordered to. Oh, and there's a slight romance to it all, but that's not really plotted since I want to gradually add it so it feels natural. ^^
Little fun fact: this started as a little fanfic, and here we are now with it turning into my first original work! ^^
ooooo i remember you telling me about this! how far have you gotten?
Um, chapter one is still in progress. School killed my motivation and it hasn't returned. However! I think the fanfic version will be my first draft, so then I can make sure I can see it through, and then I can change some names, any necessary details, and yeah! It's not much right now, but I'm hoping to resume progress soon!
@LolaBug
here we are! we were just doing book summaries, feel free to join in!

man, that feels to familiar lol.
I've been productive with my short stories, so my motivation is coming back! I'll send more updates as I write! ^^
I've been productive with everything except writing because I'm worldbuilding two and figuring out a plot for a fanfic world as well-
So…. I've got mostly story ideas, no idea what any of them will end up being. I've got basically just a bunch of short stories around my dnd character, I've got a story involving a star-born falling from the sky aout stories and free will, theres one with a time and space controlling college students respectively with a hint of social anxiety, I've got a large bunch of fanfiction, and I've got a fantasy world with elements, stellar bodies, werewolves and other animal races. I've also just got worldbuilding and ideas for an elemental dnd world. I also have about 15 different fantasy world ideas that live in the trash can. I also have a couple star-based concepts for a video game.
I highly doubt most of these will ever actually become anything real, but they're fun to write about!
That's fair! I was very productive with working on the story, and then as soon as it got to writing, my motivation left. However, I believe in you, and if you wanna share any info, feel free to! ^^
Yeah, I feel that. The only reason I'm still writing that is because I promised my brother all of my money if I wasn't finished with the first draft by the end of the year, lol.
Valid reason. Good luck with finishing! ^^
Here's my summary:
So, I'm honestly kind of scarred for now, but I've got a really good book idea that I plan to work on soon. (The only problem…a REALLY complex character). I have a bunch of different books from the last 5 or so years that I never finished, all of which have pretty good plots in storylines. (One in particular…). Anyways, hopefully, I'm not too scarred to start a new one soon… if y'all want the story about my….woundage, lmk! I'd be happy to share.
Feel free to share any stories if you'd like to. Writing is difficult, but I'd love to hear your idea! I can't say that I can help you, but I can always try!

Yeah it involves FIVE of us (Me, Chicken, and three other friends) attempting to co-write a book…
