Um, chapter one is still in progress. School killed my motivation and it hasn't returned. However! I think the fanfic version will be my first draft, so then I can make sure I can see it through, and then I can change some names, any necessary details, and yeah! It's not much right now, but I'm hoping to resume progress soon!
man, that feels to familiar lol.
I've been productive with my short stories, so my motivation is coming back! I'll send more updates as I write! ^^
I've been productive with everything except writing because I'm worldbuilding two and figuring out a plot for a fanfic world as well-
So…. I've got mostly story ideas, no idea what any of them will end up being. I've got basically just a bunch of short stories around my dnd character, I've got a story involving a star-born falling from the sky aout stories and free will, theres one with a time and space controlling college students respectively with a hint of social anxiety, I've got a large bunch of fanfiction, and I've got a fantasy world with elements, stellar bodies, werewolves and other animal races. I've also just got worldbuilding and ideas for an elemental dnd world. I also have about 15 different fantasy world ideas that live in the trash can. I also have a couple star-based concepts for a video game.
I highly doubt most of these will ever actually become anything real, but they're fun to write about!
That's fair! I was very productive with working on the story, and then as soon as it got to writing, my motivation left. However, I believe in you, and if you wanna share any info, feel free to! ^^
Yeah, I feel that. The only reason I'm still writing that is because I promised my brother all of my money if I wasn't finished with the first draft by the end of the year, lol.
Valid reason. Good luck with finishing! ^^
Here's my summary:
So, I'm honestly kind of scarred for now, but I've got a really good book idea that I plan to work on soon. (The only problem…a REALLY complex character). I have a bunch of different books from the last 5 or so years that I never finished, all of which have pretty good plots in storylines. (One in particular…). Anyways, hopefully, I'm not too scarred to start a new one soon… if y'all want the story about my….woundage, lmk! I'd be happy to share.
Feel free to share any stories if you'd like to. Writing is difficult, but I'd love to hear your idea! I can't say that I can help you, but I can always try!

Yeah it involves FIVE of us (Me, Chicken, and three other friends) attempting to co-write a book…
Oh, well, that's interesting! I wouldn't entirely know how to help, but as stated, I believe in you guys!

scaryness i wasnt in it
and im so glad
ok
rn im working on ad lgtbqia+ book called love is love
basically its about somebody who does some horrible things in the name of love
ive been taking a break from it for the past couple months because im terrified to keep going
i need help guys
Well, if I may ask, what's causing you to feel that way? I'm here to give anyone writing advice, to the best of my abiltiies, so what's causing this?
Wait why are you terrified?
umm i dont actually know why the book scares me
maybe because its such a daunting task, and like, i started, but i kind of dont know where to go from here
i think that + adhd makes it scary
I understand. ADHD and being an author can be difficult, speaking from experience. I think that you should keep your story and work on ideas when you get them. I also try to plot in advance to get a general idea. Also, allowing yourself to work on other, shorter projects can help. You can feel accomplished for finishing something and gradually build up to writing a full book. Just some advice from a fellow aspiring author with ADHD. ^^
thanks! that helped a lot <3
Of course! Glad I could help! ^^
ya know this ain't even writing club anymore, this is relatable club now >:3
Been reading Julius Caesar, and it may or may not have inspired a character's dialect and/or personality-
Just look at this dweeb talk:
His words are becoming louder and angrier, but it's obvious that he wants to remain calm, to be in control, to feel… happy?
"I've been through it all," His fists clench, and he practically snarls the words at us. "I've seen spirits break, hearts rend, bodies collapse and never stand again… and for what? What could justify this confinement, this nightmare, this hellscape?! What cruel sadism led to this?! What mortal could devise such evil as this?!"
Lmao, look at this dork have a mental breakdown-
Not me putting my characters through the literal worst times of their lives and calling it character development-
kills everyone's favorite person and makes everyone depressed and traumatized. oh dont worry about that, im just driving the plot forward thats all :3
