He keeps her hand to his mouth, closing his eyes. “Hm…” He smiles warmly, “Your hand fits so perfectly in mine…”
He keeps her hand to his mouth, closing his eyes. “Hm…” He smiles warmly, “Your hand fits so perfectly in mine…”
Meg’s blush darkens the longer he holds her hand against his lips. “It does feel good. The way you hold my hand.”
He smiles softly, “Hmm…and your voice is like music…” He looks at her. Anyone could tell just how much he loved her just by looking into his eyes.
“You charmer.” she smiles back, shaking her head. “But I don't sing.” Meg admits. Her heart racing as she looks at him.
He chuckles, “That doesn’t mean that your voice doesn’t sound like an angels…”
Meg places her hand against his forehead, smirking slightly.
He smirks back, chuckling softly. “And what do you think you’re doing?”
“Making sure you don't have a fever.” she replies simply, still smiling.
He chuckles, “Am I warm?” He smirks, clearly joking. But it was true that his forehead was extremely hot, and he was shivering slightly.
“Actually, yes.” she says, furrowing her brow in concern before adjusting his sheets.
He laughs softly, “Oh…well then…” He nestles into the covers, still shivering.
“Can we call for more blankets and water for you?” she asks, remembering when she was sick.
He nods, sitting up and looking around. “Where’s that bell…”
“You lay back down.” she instructs, gently pushing him back down. “I’ll do it.” she assures, standing up to get the bell.
He huffs, closing his eyes. “It…should be on my desk…”
As he said, the bell was sitting on his small desk next to the door.
“Alright.” she nods as she heads over to his desk and sees the bell. Meg picks it up and rings it before bringing it back to his nightstand.
Soon, Brisha rushes in with a worried look. “You rang, your majesty?”
Aaron shivers, hiding half of his face in the blankets.
“Yes. We need extra blankets and more water.” Meg answers. “He has a strong fever. Please.”
Brisha nods and rushes off, then runs back in with at least three more blankets, and a large glass of water. He covers Aaron up with one. “Here we are…” He mutters softly under his breath.
Aaron smiles softly, “Thank you…”
“Thank you.” Meg smiles gratefully as she helps place the extra blankets on Aaron.
Brisha smiles, “Of course, my dear…”
Aaron hums, snuggling into the sheets.
Meg smiles softly at Aaron and brushes her fingers through his hair. “Get some rest.” she whispers before looking back at the man who brought the blankets.
Aaron quickly falls asleep, smiling softly.
Brisha smiles warmly, adjusting Aaron’s blankets. “There we are…” He whispers.
“Thank you again.” Meg whispers, watching the older man smile at Aaron.
He looks at Meg and nods, “Of course…he’s like a son to me…I’d do anything for him.”
Meg smiles softly and nods. “So would I. He means a lot to me.” she admits softly.
Brisha smiles warmly, “Hm…I see…” He hums, “Well, I’ll let him rest. If you, or him, need anything, then let me know.”
“I will. Thank you, sir.” she smiles politely.
He nods and walks out, smiling warmly.
Aaron hums softly in his sleep, rolling onto his side.
Meg sits back down on the edge of the bed and picks up the book, rereading where she had left off but still keeping an eye on Aaron.
