Raz snapped his attention back up when Simon yelled out in pain. He arched an eyebrow and shook his head with a small laugh, going back to preparing what he needed for dessert when he saw that the other wasn't seriously injured. "Just a friendly reminder, ovens are hot."
"I'm not an idiot." Simon frowned at him. "Glad I'm capable of getting you attention that fast, though." He poked Razielle arm with his uninjured hand.
"never said you were. But you did just touch a hot oven." He replied, playfully swatting Simon's hand away as he poked his arm. "Of course that's get my attention, who wouldn't look up at the sound of someone in pain?"
"I was kidding," Simon sang, setting a timer on the oven. He sat down at the table crossing his ankles, and arching his back in a stretch.
Raz rolled his eyes with a laugh before turning to the cabinets to find ramikins, bowls and spatulas. Into the bowl, he threw in chocolate, sugar, and a bit of flower. He whipped eggwhites in a separate bowl and folded them in gently. He set that aside and buttered a few of the ramikins, pouring in the chocolate mixture in once they were ready. He set those aside to put into the oven later on.
"Don't roll your eyes. It was a lovely serenade." He leaned forward and put his chin on the table.
"ah so that's what you call that." He smirked and threw the dirty bowls and utensils in the sink to wash later after their dinner. "Found urielle earlier. He wanted to apologies for what happened in Hevean and for what Gabriel said."
"Ugh. Arielle doesn't have anything to apologize for anything, except for his sass. Whatever. I hope they get over their little lover's quarrel."
"the dry sass is a given, no matter who he's talking to or the situation." He settled down at the dining table. He shrugged and ran a hand through his hair. "He told me they were taking a break on their relationship to focus on finding the Diety and to work on themselves."
"Good for them," Simon said, half-heartedly. He was gazing lazily at Razielle's hand. "They need a vacation, I think."
Raz have a sigh and a nod "I think we all will with how much stress the disappearance is putting on all the angels." Raz agreed, arching an eyebrow in silent question before looking down at his own hand to make sure there wasn't anything wrong
Simon flushed and got up hastily, pulling the pizza out of the oven. He slid it onto a platter and offered Razielle the pizza cutter. "I'm not very good at cutting pizza. You better do this," he said, avoiding Razielle's eyes.
Raz tilted his head in slight confusion before akwardly standing and taking the pizza cutter. "Uhm, okay. I mean, pizza is pizza." He shrugged and cut the pizza into nice beat triangles. "There, now let's eat! This looks good and I'm excited for the desert.
"I just do it crookedly," Simon said defensively and put the platter on the table. He pulled a slice toward himself and pulled a piece of pepperoni off of it and nibbled at the edge. "What'd you make for dessert anyways."
"I'm making a chocolate souffles." He replied excitedly, bouncing in place as he grabbed a slice of pizza and following Simon to the table. "It's a bit fancy but it tastes so good! And it's one if the only desserts I can make well." He shrugged and curled up in the chair, plate balancing on his knees. "This is surprisingly good." He mused as he took a bite
Simon hid a grin, happy that Razielle was so excited about his dessert. “Never had it before.” Razielle’s excitement was adorable, but Simon wasn’t about to say that to him. “Of course it’s good. Have you ever had bad frozen pizza. That isn’t a thing.”
Raz's jaw dropped as Simon confessed to never having a Suffle. "Are you serious?!" He shook his head and set his plate on the table. "Well then I chose a great time to make it." He stood from the table and headed over to the ramikins he had set aside. He put them in a tray, making it better to transfer them all to the oven. "Think of a chocolaty cloud, that's basically a souffle. Add some ice cream and it's literally heaven."
Simon smiled fully now, pushing his hair back from his forehead. "Is it really this exciting?" he asked, the amusement in his tone evident. "You're so silly."
He nodded enthusiastically, fluffy hair flopping about. "Well, i think it is. I honestly can't think of anything better then settling down with a good desert, a good book, a blanket and a fire at the end of a long day." He hovered his hand over the open oven to check the heat before pushing the tray if ramikin inside. "Am not!" He argued, a grin plastered on his features. "I just have an unhealthy love for sweets."
"Clearly," Simon said, finishing his slice of pizza and taking another. He didn't bother to argue the fact that there were a lot of things better than dessert, letting Razielle amuse himself.
Raz wrinkled his nose and stuck his tongue out playfully at Simon before settling back down. He finished off the first slice of pizza and pulled over another one, surprised to find that quite enjoyed the frozen pizza that much. He pulled off a small slice of pepperoni from the slice and tire it into smaller pieces, passing it to Spook and Jack.
Jack shoved Spooks out of the way and snatched up the pepperoni.
Simon picked Spooks up and held her in front of him. "Is he being mean to you? I know, darling."
Spooks meowed and tilted her head.
"You sit on my lap so he doesn't bother you, okay, chica?"
Spooks seemed to agree with this plan of action and curled contentedly on Simon's lap.
Raz scooped Jack up and gave him a teasing glare. "Such a rude kitty, aren't you? I didn't know how ruthless you'd be when it came to food." He nuzzled Jack's cheek and breathed a sigh. "And here I thought you were a sweet kitty cat." He pouted and pressed a kiss to his nose. "No more pepperoni for you, not until you learn how to share with Spook."
"He doesn't know how to share. That word is not in his vocabulary," Simon said. Spooks let out a loud meow and Simon looked down at her. "Hush, darling. You're perfectly fine, cherie."
"it will be soon if he wants more food." He arched an eyebrow at Jack and gently nudged his head. He glanced over at Simon as he moved Jack to his shoulders. "Since when do you know how to speak French?" He asked curiously, slowly standin so Jack wouldn't fall and taking his plate to the kitchen sink
Simon smiled slightly. “I don’t know much French. Basically how to say ‘My name is Simon’ and how to flirt. Not very impressive.”
Spooks batted at his hand. “I see you, dear,” he cooed and scratched her head.
Raz shrugged "I mean I'd say that's pretty impressive. I don't know any French so you're at least impressing someone." He said, quickly checking on the souffles to make sure they were alright, jack puting his front paws on Raz's head so that he could sniff at the oven. "Ah ah ah, those aren't for you, mister."
Jack meowed, clearly disappointed.
Simon’s small smile grew. “*Merci, mon bel ange.”
Spooks abandoned Simon in favor of winding around Razielle’s ankles. “Really, why don’t you just move in with him?” Simon said to the cat.
Raz gave a confused smile, a light pink flush rising to his cheeks though he couldn't figure out whether it was because of his own embarrassment or because it was how much he liked hearing Simon speak such a lovely language. He gave Jack and apologetic scratch behind the ears and scooped spooks up. "Don't think I'll give you any dessert either, just because you're being extra cuddly, dear." He cooed, pressing a light kiss to the tip of her ear. "It would break my heart knowing I'd take you from your dad." He said, setting spooks and Jack back down on the ground so he could handle the tray of souffles withough having to worry about them sneaking bites
“Oh, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind keeping her for a few days. You seem to like her just fine.” Spooks gave Jack a smug look and sat on the counter, her tail twitching.
Simon sat on the couch, crossing his legs and put the TV so it would stream. He turned on Marvel and burrowed under a blanket, resigning himself to the couch for the rest of the night.
