Raz glanced up as Simon approached and showed him the cover of the book he had started. "Missing Dieties and how to find them." He replied with a laugh. "No, mostly different iterations of the Bible." He waved a stack beside him. "Some in different languages, some as how different cultures see a god." He explained. He nodded to Simon's books. "What'd you find?"

@cryptic-glitch

“Um. The laws. I wanted to see if there was any protocol for if the Deity is missing. Angels seem to be prepared for any eventuality, so I figured it might be a decent place to start. I dunno.” He pushed his hair out of his eyes impatiently, tilting his head to one side so his hair wasn’t across his face.

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz nodded "that would be useful." He agreed, opening back the paper he had marked with his finger. He scanned through some.of the pages, writing down a few sentences then trying his best to translate them

@cryptic-glitch

Simon scowled. In a false tone of offense, he said, “Of course it’s useful. I never do anything unhelpful.” He reached up and tied his hair back again, opening the book and setting it on his crossed legs.

@Festive_Fenrir

Razielle glared at Simon momentarily before focusing on his own notes. Occassionally, Raz would stand and shuffle through some book, pulling out a few at a time and spreading gtjem out before him with his original book in his lap to do some comparisons.
"I'll ask about seeing Anielle in a few hours. Hopefully Urielle isn't so on edge." He muttered

@cryptic-glitch

“Don’t give me that look,” Simon chided. “You find me hilarious.” He listed his head. “I don’t think Urielle will ever not be on edge. Do you think he’s heard of Xanax?”

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz rolled his eyes playfully and shook his head "that's what you think." He retorted with a small laugh. He sighed softly and looked up from his book "yeah, he probably has, but with the Diety gone and tensions running high with the angels, it's understandable that he's stressed out." Raz reasoned, standing and stretching in place.

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz arched an eyebrow "I wouldn't call Urielle an enemy. After all, he is the one who allowed us back and who'll be the one to let you see Anielle." Raz said, marking the page in the book with the attached string bookmark. "Want to come with or do want to stay and research some more?"

@cryptic-glitch

“You need a bodyguard,” Simon said. “Due to the fact that you are a scrawny racoon.” He got up and stretched his wings, slouching slightly and raising his eyebrows. “If you get stuck in a trash can I’ll help you get out.”

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz raised an eyebrow with a light laugh. "Hey, the only reason I look like a raccoon is because you woke me far too early for any being to look decent. You're not wrong about the scrawny part though." He ruffled his wings slightly and smirked "is that you offering to be my bodyguard?"

@cryptic-glitch

“Hmmmm. I will make an attempt to kill anyone attacking you, but other than that, no. Unless you want me to be your bodyguard. I don’t think I’m that intimidating.”

@Festive_Fenrir

"some would beg to differ, including me, at least when I first met you." Raz said softly, surprised that Simon would so quickly defend him, even go so far to say he'd harm anyone if he got hurt. He nodded slowly, "Thanks, that means a lot to me." He murmured softly, nodding his head towards the center of the building "let's go find Urielle."

@cryptic-glitch

“Don’t thank me. It’s just an excuse to release my pent up rage,” he said, without his usual edge behind it. “Onward and upward then.”

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz shrugged "too late, it's already said." A small smile flickered across his features before he nodded "yes, onwards, and hopefully upwards." He repeated softly as he flew down to the main area of the archives, where Urielle was sitting at a table, Gabriel beside him, looking over the Angel's shoulder

@cryptic-glitch

Simon followed, feeling confused by his own emotions. He really did feel protective of Razielle, but he couldn't figure out why. He was also extremely annoyed by his hair, which despite him tying it back was still in his eyes.

@Festive_Fenrir

Raz landed a few feet away from the two. "Find anything?" Urielle asked, him and Gabriel turning away from the book they’d been studying. Raz shook his head “no, nit yet.”
Urielle sighed softly “nothing here either.” He muttered, pressing a hand to his head.
“was there something you needed help translating? Some of the books here can be difficult to say the least to understand."
Raz shook his head slightly "no, the translating is actually going well. We actually wanted to request something."
Urielle arched an eyebrow while Gabriel whipped around completely. "Request? Urielle has been beyond generous allowing you here with the fallen angel. I think any requests made would be out if the question at this point."
Raz narrowed his eyes at the angel, about to protest when Urielle stood "what is the request." He asked softly, looking between Razielle and Simon. Raz took a deep breath "we want to see the memorial." He said.
Urielle arched an eyebrow while Gabriel looked as if he wanted to jump at someone's throat. "absolutly no-"
Urielle nodded slowly "I'll take you." He said, glaring in warning at Gabriel before starting to walk out of the archives.
Raz glanced at Gabriel before looking up at Simon and nodding as he followed the archangel outside

@cryptic-glitch

“Huh. If I didn’t know better, I’d say there was romantic tension between you two,” Simon said. “But thanks all the same.” He followed Gabriel hesitantly, somewhat worried that the angel was planning to maim him.

@Festive_Fenrir

"of course." Urielle replied, ignoring Simon's jab at him and Gabriel being a couple. "There has to a decent reason why you want to go." He reasoned.
Gabriel snorted softly from behind but said nothing outloud as he followed them from behind.

@cryptic-glitch

Simon raised his eyebrows, smiling slightly. He tipped his head. “The last time I was here you didn’t exactly take a liking to me. No offense, of course.”

@Festive_Fenrir

"that is true. Then again, you aren't harming anyone, nor do you seem as agitated as before." Urielle replied calmly, nodding his head in acknowledgement as a few angels passed by. "Now you have a whole new angel to dislike you, isn't that right Gabriel?" Urielle continued, a teasing smile quirking at the archangel's lips. Gabriel rolled his eyes, "if the Diety ever found out that we allowed a fallen one into the archives, into heaven, without their permission, we're all going to be in trouble. And frankly, I don't think I'm willing to go through that." Gabriel seethed.
Urielle merely shrugged as he glanced over his shoulder "clearly you are. Otherwise you wouldn't be following us."

@cryptic-glitch

"Oh, please, Gabriel. I'm not a grave robber or something. I am a perfectly respectable citizen who will do no harm to your precious city. Off-topic, but do you lot do haircuts? I am suffering immeasurably," he said.

@Festive_Fenrir

Gabriel narrowed his eyes "maybe not heaven. No, I'm sure you wouldn't destroy this place. But the angels in it, now that's a different story. Please Simon, remind us again what your conviction was? The reason why you were sent out of heaven? Some of us seemed to have forgotten." Gabriel turned his glare to Raz and Urielle. "It truly is amazing how you're here at all, seeing that you killed a fellow angel."

@cryptic-glitch

Simon's hands began turning black, displaying his anger. "I didn't kill An- anybody." He fought to keep his emotions under control, his wings fluffing up. "I had no reason to kill him, which you know perfectly well. I also have to reason to explain this to you, so you can figure out what happened on your own."

@Festive_Fenrir

Gabriel huffed a laugh "you can't even say his name. Though that'd be understandable coming from a murderer, too ashamed to say their victem's name."
Urielle turned around fully, stopping directly in front of some gates made of glass. Razielle nearly crashed into him, too focused on the two behind him to pay attention.
"We are entering a place that is sacred. If the two of you can't control your actions and words, I'm afraid I can't let you in." He said sternly, gazing into both Gabriel's and Simon's eyes for a few moments.
"I expected better from you Gabriel. An archangel so we'll recognized such as yourself, stooping down to the jabs of a reckless teenage." Urielle shook his head in dissapointment, turning to Simon before Gabriel got a chance to protest. "And you, letting the words of a measly archangel get the better if you? You've unfairly been through worse. This shouldn't be what permanently gets you exhiled." Urielle said, turning back to the gates and pressing his hand to the cool glass. "We'll wait for you here. Take as long as you need." He said, waving Simon and Razielle through.
