Alrighty, I think someone here asked about Norse paganism a while ago, and I might've linked them to The Wisdom of Odin. I'm not super into Norse paganism, so I only watched a few vids from the channel I had linked and called it good. Definitely should've looked into that more. I honestly don't remember which rescources I linked, but in case it was WoO, I'd like to right that wrong and make whoever that was aware of this video-
And if I never did link WoO, still something to put out there anyway for our Norse pagan friends.
K a little prompt for you guys-
What experience do you guys have with house spirits? What do they want? Is it a specifically Roman or hellenist thing? Any info you guys have on that to direct my research would be great.
Also, what would one approach the fae for? Like what reason is there to start interacting with the Good People? Not dissing, just confused about that bit. I see so much about etiquette and do and don'ts with the Other Crowd, but don't see anything about why someone would/should even engage (if they have a choice in the matter). I also see alot from older pagans talking about how the fae will have you do work, and you better do that work or the relationship will crumble. What work are they reffering to? What chores or endevours do the fae set out for humans? What do they need us for?
I don't know if anyone here has experience with the Good People, but if you do, I'd appreciate some info, or at least free recources where I can get info.
first of all: i dont know if i have any specific house spirits but we do have spirits in our house and i'd probably throw down with all of them because i'm very sick of getting locked in the bathroom and my bedroom.
second: all i can think of is moms giving chores. the fae but all they do is make you clean your room and make your bed
HI MY FELLOW WITCHES/NOT WITCHES/WHATEVER YOU WANNA BE CALLED
i'm very excited i came across this thread cuz i've not been able to talk to many people who do the same things as me, so this is so cool shdbjchbshvchdsv
Nice! My aunt got me an Oracle deck for christmas and its three moods are; vague advice, helpful advice, and meditate. Just meditate
To be fair, that’s pretty much the same as my tarot deck. Only those moods are ‘vague advice’, ‘clear advice’ and ‘advice will click at a random point during the day when you’re not even near the cards’
that's cool too! i actually have no idea what that is but hell yeah, now i'm gonna go look it up

I guess most practitioners would equate it to an 'earth witch" or a 'forest witch', which is not entirely wrong but like all different practices it has it's own structure and flair.
I'm rebooting my whole practice. I jumped into meeting deities wayyy to quickly. I was really excited to meet a god and have spiritual experiences, but I realized I need to be spiritual on my own before inviting and interacting with other entities. And it's been good.
I'm like, not even a baby witch yet. An embryo witch, if you will. I've been doing a lot of ✨research ✨ and scouring the internet for books on beginning witchcraft, so do y'all have any that you'd recommend? I'm more interested in secular witchcraft for now, but I'm also like. sort of curious about Wicca too so books and websites and stuff for both would be much appreciated
Also, kind of a stupid question, but it's genuine, how do you know when something's a result of witchiness, I guess, and not just a coincidence? I have more questions than that but my brain is empty right now
BIMCH I'm so happy to see you in this chat.
I can't answer any of your questions though since I am but a witchling and don't read books lol. But I 10/10 recommend Chaotic Witch Aunt on YouTube and TikTok.
tbh i try to live by 'if it seems too out of place, or happens a lil too often to be natural, something might be up' and the idea that everything around you can be influenced by you and your practice
hhmm. I think reading through this chat might be helpful for various information. i also think you ought to remember that to some, its the equivalent of Christianity or Islam or other religions. as a practice, it tends to be less rigid, though it varies per practitioner.
if you're interested in a fantasy type witch, we can only help so much.
thats good! having a basis for your idea is a good thing, because it makes it really easy to take inspiration bits. I dont know that tiktoker, so I'm not sure I could help much lol
everytime i see a new baby witch i feel less like ??!! about figuring all this out
pickklee!!
i honestly am not super big on a lot of things and when i started i was like "im gonna stick to the small things like sigils and like,, meditation maybe"
however I am now sorta considering deities at some point-
not right away or anything because i have my own shit still but i do give offering sometimes when i see something i think someone might like i saw a really pretty rock that reminded me of the moon, so to artemis it went
but yeah i like being able to choose my own rules i think? i like things being fluid and not everything having to be structured and that may have to do with the change from Islam to witchcraft but it Pleases me
anyway i don't have any advice because i am also a baby but i think the cool part is that there's no real wrong way to go about it!! it's a lot of experimenting and figuring out what works for you and stuff
oh man. lately I've been kinda separating from patron work, as I've kinda gathered that its seriously not my thing. I do adore artemis and aphrodite, but I think I just connect with nature so much more on a spiritual level
cut to me staring at my candle in a jar trying to figure out if it's safe to put out with my fingers yup that's about how my research is going in every aspect
