Yeah, I'm still very much figuring things out.
I think there's definitely some power and underlying spirit to nature. And I think that a lot of witchcraft practices are good for helping tap into human intuition.

Just moldavite, since the witch community is kinda blowing up about it right now.
Have you found anything interesting?
What's moldavite?
And not anything too special, just getting to a calm place and welcoming the deities to your mind-space. I've had a few ~spiritual experiences~ lately, and I feel Manannan might be calling me. Meditation do be hard though, and I've never talked to a (pagan) deity.
The two things that make me sad about Irish mythology is that there isn't a creation story, and divinity isn't a very obvious concept amongst the deities. It's hard to explain, but sometimes the Irish gods don't seem as "god-like" as Greek gods and whatnot, and I think most of that is due to the monks who wrote all the myths down had to make them more human to reconcile the stories with their monotheism. I will never not be sad about that.

ohh I think I saw a tiktok about that
I just learned that Brigid's flame is still going. Brigid is a very important Irish Triple Goddess of poetry, inspiration, divination, spring, fire, the sun, animal husbandry, etc. Brigid flame keeping is similar to Hestian flame keeping. The thing is, Brigid's flame right now isn't for the Goddess, it's for the Catholic saint, and it's being kept by nuns. Sycretism is cool, but that's kinda wonky to me lol.

Still working on tarot cards. I’m also trying to research all the pagan/Wiccan/witch’s holidays and what they mean.
heyo I'm just an agnostic/atheist (still deciding??) human who wants to learn more about the pagan/witch/wiccan+ stuff
so can someone just explain to me like what you do to practice witchcraft, what are the key holidays and stuff, and just the general idea?
Oh, honey. There’s no one way to practice witchcraft….. There are SO many different versions of witchcraft, it’s really ends up being an interpretation of the witch’s wants/needs themselves. And not all witches practice the holidays of Samhain, Yule, Belfast, etc. etc….
There are lots of different witchcraft paths, and I need to go to bed so if nobody has explained anything by the time I’m back tomorrow, I’ll do my best
a lot of it is up to interpretation to each person honestly
I'm pretty new to this honestly but there's no real wrong way to do it
Yeah
It's a bit confusing to me, of course, because I'm horrible at making decisions for myself and am still Deconstructing from Christianity, which for me was super strict on what you believe (no shade on Christians, it just doesn't vibe with me with all the hypocrisy I had to deal with)
But I'm slowly learning more and more about what my witchcraft is going to look like
Hoo boy…. gods are complicated. Personally, I don’t deal with them since I’m a Christian witch…
Wait… how does that even work???
I’m a Christian who practices hedge witchcraft, that’s how it works. (Apologies, I get salty because a lot of people try to bash Christian witches a lot…)
I didn't mean to come off as bashing…
I keep pulling The Tower in tarot readings????!!!! Usually reversed, but uh, yikes. I think.

That was nothing against you and your question, don’t worry. I was apologizing for getting defensive because a lot of people HAVE bashed Christian witches. We get a lot of hate from both Christians and the Witchcraft community

Yeah, I’d say that’s yikes.
I got reversed Ace of Pentacles today and I feel like that’s wrong. I’m just gonna log it and ignore it.
My absolute favorite tarot card is the three of swords and I haven't been getting it at all lately :(
Um, it’s three of swords meant to represent heartbreak???
And grief, loss, general pain/hurt.
Why is that your favorite????? genuine concern
:)
aHHh I'm very ~excited~
The more I learn about Mannanán the more I'm like ✨notice me✨ and sometimes I feel slightly ✨noticed✨ and my mom made a p p l e b r e a d and b a c o n and pork and apples are Manannáns f a v o r i t e and I've never looked forward to sneaking a few crumbs of my dinner to a divine being until today but like I just hope he likes it.
Also Manannán is known as being a parental God, and he has a ton of foster kids in the myths and his followers describe themselves as his foster children as well and as those of you in the ex christian chat will know hehahhe I'm in ✨need✨ of guardianship, that's something I've been craving for a while.
So what I'm saying is Manannán is cool.
Anyway thanks for letting me ramble 👍
