Winter shrugged a little bit. "Oh well. 's not your fault." he replied, looking around the street. "We'll find everything eventually."
Winter shrugged a little bit. "Oh well. 's not your fault." he replied, looking around the street. "We'll find everything eventually."
"I guess. At least it's kind of nice outside," Mycah sighed, looking up at the shop signs. Maybe the supermarket was hiding behind a fancy name, though they hoped it wasn't.
He nodded. "Yeah. This would be miserable if it was rainy or windy or anything." he kept looking around, keeping an eye out for the supermarket.
"Indeed." Mycah agreed, glancing up and down another intersection. "I really hope there's a huge sign and it's really obvious." Finding nothing like that down or up the road, they continued on.
"I mean…worst comes to worst, we can ask someone." he pointed out with a slight shrug.
"Hmm. Which of us would be less intimidating, then?" Mycah asked, looking at Winter with a small smile. "But I hope it doesn't come to that."
"You. You're smaller." Winter replied with a laugh. "I look…I don't know. Scary." he shook his head a little bit, looking at Mycah.
"Yeah, I guess." Mycah shrugged. "People do sometimes underestimate short people's ability to be scary." They glanced down the next road, their face lighting up slightly. "That looks a bit like a supermarket, doesn't it?"
Winter chuckled quietly. "Mhm." he replied. "And…yeah, it does. Let's hope it is." he headed towards the store.
Mycah walked quickly, desperately hoping that the store was, in fact, a supermarket. They didn't really know what else it could be, especially as they got closer and saw the people with shopping carts and bags full of fresh produce.
Winter let out a breath as he saw the people. "This has to be it. If it isn't, someone's going to die." he grumbled as they came closer, shaking his head a little bit. He really hoped this was it.
Mycah gave the building a once-over, finding a surprisingly small sign proclaiming that it was a supermarket. "Well, lucky for everyone, this is a supermarket." They wrinkled their nose at the number of people there.
He laughed a little bit. "Oh, good." he repleid. "Let's get some food." he headed inside, holding the door for Mycah.
"Agreed." Mycah nodded, giving Winter a thankful smile as they entered the supermarket. It was pretty busy, and Mycah honestly didn't know where to start. "Where should we stop at first?" They asked softly, looking around a bit nervously.
Winter shrugged a little bit. "I'd suggest the most important stuff. The basics? Fruits and meat." he let out a quiet laugh.
"Right." Mycah nodded slowly. "We should get a basket." They wove through a crowd of people and picked up a hand-held basket. After another glance around, they started towards the produce section.
Winter nodded a little bit, staying near Mycah. It was a bit harder for him to weave through the crowd, due to his height, but he managed it.
Mycah was not a fan of all the people there. Any one of them could be enemies, though it was unlikely. "What fruits do you want to get?" They asked, looking up at Winter.
Winter blinked. "Oh. Uhm. I don't know." he replied, laughing a little bit. "You can pick them." he shrugged his shoulders.
"We'll get some apples and grapes, then. Those are easy enough," Mycah decided, walking towards a display of apples. "Could you get the grapes? Any anything else you might want," They added, giving Winter a small smile.
Winter nodded, and grabbed some of the grapes, putting them in the basket. "Alright." he replied simply. He ended up also grabbing some pears as well.
Mycah was busy picking out some good apples. They got a good amount and put them in the basket as well. "Anything else we should get in produce before our next stop?"
"I don't…oh, maybe some lettuce?" he suggested, raising his eyebrows at Mycah. "That's all I can think of."
"A salad would be nice." Mycah shrugged and walked over to the vegetables. They grabbed a box of lettuce, then a little carton of cherry tomatoes. Allx had always loved those.
He nodded a little bit, assisting as best he could with grabbing everything that they needed.
